If Rush is such a racist, why are all these false quotes being made up?

Here's just a few of the gems that morons in the media have been throwing around.
"We didn't have slavery in this country for over 100 years because it was a bad thing. Quite the opposite: slavery built the South. I'm not saying we should bring it back; I'm just saying it had its merits. For one thing, the streets were safer after dark"
"You know who deserves a posthumous Medal of Honor? James Earl Ray [the confessed assassin of Martin Luther King]. We miss you, James. Godspeed"
"The NAACP should have riot rehearsal. They should get a liqu0r (come on mylot censors!) store and practice robberies"
"They're 12 percent of the population. Who the hell cares?"
What do all these statements have in common? All of them are lies. Not one of them was ever said. There are no transcripts, audio, or video of any of these.
I'm honestly sick of seeing liberals spread this crap around mylot, but I know this won't stop them. They'll just keep referencing blogs because we all know that blogs and anti-Limbaugh sites are oh so honest!
I'm no Limbaugh fan, but at least I've listened to his show and actually know what I have and haven't heard him say. I don't go to blogs and anti-Limbaugh sites looking for reasons to hate him or call him a racist because I'm actually capable of thinking for myself.
So tell me guys, why are you spreading lies like these? If he's a racist, you shouldn't need to lie to prove your point. Do you call him a racist because of things you KNOW he said and did, or are you just buying every load of crap you read on the blogs?

The law allows us freedom of speech but there is no law that says we have to believe everything that is written. I prefer to rely on my own intelligence to either research the statement for the facts or just ignore it.

Obama's working on a law to do just that, I'm sure. Of course, it will be what HE and his minions write and only what they write.

I don't know if he's racist or not, but if they have to use lies to prove he is, and clearly there are those who believe every word of it, it's a seriously weak argument.

Racists don't give Black people a seat at the table. Some of Rush's best guest hosts are Black. The ratings for the shows with Black guest hosts don't go down.
Sorry to burst the bigotry bubble of the left, but Rush isn't a racist...
But Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and Barrack Obama most certainly are.

That's the incidious thing about throwing the term "racist" around as the left likes to do. They do it because the liars have set it up as an "undefendable" accusation.
The very fact that the scum has to make up lies about Limbaugh to "prove" he's racist only shows how low they are.
They will embrace their own racism, while throwing false accusations about it around.

Listen I do not know if he is racist or not and honestly I really do not care he would have to be the one to live with it. But please Ted don't use this for a defense either. This is kinda like I aint racist I work with black people, or I have black people in my family. The question is are you friends with them do you invite them over for a cookouts do you go out in public with them. There was a time when you knew who the racist were and then it calmed down and it was not acceptable and people all of a sudden became not racist " I think not" they burried those feelings and said nothing because of the consequences. Now the ugly roars out in many people since the big changes in our government, from all races.
Sorry my friend just the way that I feel. I happen to be a person that has many different friends from different cultures, I have raised my children to see only the hearts of people. I do know many people my age that tell their children if you date someone from another race I will never speak to you again. I have also seen that some of them meant it as well.

"The question is are you friends with them do you invite them over for a cookouts do you go out in public with them."
It doesn't matter. Ted's right, it's an accusation you can't defend against. There is no more cliche defense on the planet than "I have friends who are black." I've been accused of being a racist several times on forums. One person even told me that it's obvious I've never even met a black person. I've pointed out to people that I have many black friends and actually work at a library where I am the ONLY white employee. Of course that means nothing to people who make such accusations. They pull the "you're so defensive you MUST be racist" crap. No matter what you say in response, they'll twist it to reaffirm what they want to believe.

Taskr I just recently was provided a list of lies about Limbaugh, and over have of them were blogs, and this was from one of your right wing friends on here. So it isn't just liberals that use blogs, it is your own kind.
Second, I haven't called Rush a racist, but he has put something on his show that I would never approve of, and I would consider racist (Barack the magic Negro for example, because I know you will want to know). I might not believe that he is a racist, but that doesn't mean that he hasn't approved of some racial material on his show. So does that make him a racist?

As far as I know negro is not considered racist. It isn't used as often as it used to be but it is still used. I'd think they'd have changed the name of the United Negro College Fund by now if it was. I can't say it was used in the song as racist. If we're going down that road then there are a number of other songs, etc. that could be called racist too. Maybe it wouldn't be such an issue if his race hadn't be made so much of in the first place.
Whether this song was sung or whatever on his show does not change the fact that lies were made up about Limbaugh and as far as I know this song wasn't even an issue brought up. Get him on what he actually did, not what someone lied about to make him sound worse.

"Second, I haven't called Rush a racist"
You sure as he!l have you liar! YOU were the first person I saw spouting lies like those I listed here. When I asked for a source you conveniently disappeared. Not before
Does THIS sound familiar debater?
"The fact that you will defend a racist shows everyone how far you have your head up your a$$ Taskr. I have showed you many of his racist quotes, and you will find a way to defend it in your own mind. So the question I have for you is if you can defend these comments doesn't that make YOU a RACIST?"

Here's another one you said Debater.
"Taskr, like this is Rush's first racist remark? This man makes David Duke look like a saint. His racist views are spewed on a daily basis, and they need to be brought to the American people so they know what he is saying."

Fiction is always the best choice.
The planet heating up a few degrees for a few years wouldn't turn heads. Polar bears dying and coastal cities being wiped out from rising water (they found extra water somewhere to displace, apparently) and Katrina-like hurricanes (although it was the levee that made that famous) do the job, though. Erase that carbon footprint, or you're just another dirty conservative who thinks you're better than polar bears -- and black people!
I watched a non-Dennis Miller O'Reilly tonight, which is rare for me. I watched as Juan Williams disagreed with another black man's point about Rush being some HUGE RACIST who wanted to "own" black people, and the guy insulted Juan by telling him to get back on the porch -- a house negro reference! LMFAO!
It's the hyperbole and exaggeration way or the highway. Boldness is what works, and fiction works the best for that, and you are not allowed as a free-thinking individual to exercise free thought, lest you best cast out.

To answer your title question, I don't know why anyone has felt a need to make up any false quotes, there are enough of them that are available on video and/or audio tape to make the point. To answer your last question, "Do you call him a racist because of things you KNOW he said and did, or are you just buying every load of crap you read on the blogs?" I've based my opinion of him on what I've heard him say through the years by listening to all of his show everyday.

because the one main trouble with this world. so many people think they are in how the feel or what the belive in.
i went to the south once, and i am from up north and i made a statement i would want my daughter married a black that loves her then a white guy who would beat her. well i almost gotten a beated.
it is so sad how we still have the racest crap in our country, hey its been over with so get over it. we all were born the same way and we all bleed the same and our blood is red.
i think that they need to take every racest jerk to the desert and put a big fence around them and let them at each other and leave us who wants to live in peace alone

Rush L. is not a racist because he isn't in a high political position to do so. I really enjoyed how you brought up the point that there is no evidence that can be obtained by the general public to support the accusations. I don't care for him but that is only because I have no experience hearing his commentary so I am indifferent. I would , however, like to mention that people say things inconfidence that only close individuals would be able to know but wouldn't be written down and would depend on the testimony of the parties that were there. Unfortunately there is no direct way to determine if the observer made it up since the only other source is the person in question. An assistant for Ex_Prez Nixon said he heard him use a racial epithet about Black people but I cannot just agree or disagree with the words of the assistant. He wold have had access to the ex-Prez Nixon to overhear it but then I have to queston his motives for revealing the information. The assistant was European-American by the way. I knowhow quickly the media turns on people but idon't believe that just completely disagreeing with the information presented by the media means that a person is a non-conformist. On a side-note, is liberal soppose to be a insulting term? I've seen it used in that way.

Well I won't address things that anyone claims he said in confidence because I require proof of statements before making snap judgements. If someone calls him a sexist for example, I won't argue because I have personally heard him say things that would be sexist such as saying that if a woman gets pregnant out of wedlock the father owes no duty of care to the child.
The statements I referred to in my original post though, are things people claimed he said on his program. Some even named specific dates and broadcasts which is why it was easy for researchers both at Snopes and at Fox News to determine that these were lies and he never made such statements.
I don't consider liberal an insulting term unless someone is not, or does not want to be a liberal. Just like calling someone gay isn't an insult if they really are gay.
Good lord, I'm willing to bet someone will take that statement and start calling me antigay now...
