Here's just a few of the gems that morons in the media have been throwing around.

"We didn't have slavery in this country for over 100 years because it was a bad thing. Quite the opposite: slavery built the South. I'm not saying we should bring it back; I'm just saying it had its merits. For one thing, the streets were safer after dark"

"You know who deserves a posthumous Medal of Honor? James Earl Ray [the confessed assassin of Martin Luther King]. We miss you, James. Godspeed"

"The NAACP should have riot rehearsal. They should get a liqu0r (come on mylot censors!) store and practice robberies"

"They're 12 percent of the population. Who the hell cares?"

What do all these statements have in common? All of them are lies. Not one of them was ever said. There are no transcripts, audio, or video of any of these.
I'm honestly sick of seeing liberals spread this crap around mylot, but I know this won't stop them. They'll just keep referencing blogs because we all know that blogs and anti-Limbaugh sites are oh so honest!

I'm no Limbaugh fan, but at least I've listened to his show and actually know what I have and haven't heard him say. I don't go to blogs and anti-Limbaugh sites looking for reasons to hate him or call him a racist because I'm actually capable of thinking for myself.

So tell me guys, why are you spreading lies like these? If he's a racist, you shouldn't need to lie to prove your point. Do you call him a racist because of things you KNOW he said and did, or are you just buying every load of crap you read on the blogs?

Taskr I just recently was provided a list of lies about Limbaugh, and over have of them were blogs, and this was from one of your right wing friends on here. So it isn't just liberals that use blogs, it is your own kind.

Second, I haven't called Rush a racist, but he has put something on his show that I would never approve of, and I would consider racist (Barack the magic Negro for example, because I know you will want to know). I might not believe that he is a racist, but that doesn't mean that he hasn't approved of some racial material on his show. So does that make him a racist?

myLot reputation of 72/100. irishidid (3031)   ranked 1,301 out of 6,339 in politics  1 month ago

As far as I know negro is not considered racist. It isn't used as often as it used to be but it is still used. I'd think they'd have changed the name of the United Negro College Fund by now if it was. I can't say it was used in the song as racist. If we're going down that road then there are a number of other songs, etc. that could be called racist too. Maybe it wouldn't be such an issue if his race hadn't be made so much of in the first place.
Whether this song was sung or whatever on his show does not change the fact that lies were made up about Limbaugh and as far as I know this song wasn't even an issue brought up. Get him on what he actually did, not what someone lied about to make him sound worse.

You sure as he!l have you liar! YOU were the first person I saw spouting lies like those I listed here. When I asked for a source you conveniently disappeared. Not before

Does THIS sound familiar debater?

"The fact that you will defend a racist shows everyone how far you have your head up your a$$ Taskr. I have showed you many of his racist quotes, and you will find a way to defend it in your own mind. So the question I have for you is if you can defend these comments doesn't that make YOU a RACIST?"

"Taskr, like this is Rush's first racist remark? This man makes David Duke look like a saint. His racist views are spewed on a daily basis, and they need to be brought to the American people so they know what he is saying."

Before we go on a witch hunt of "racist" ignorance, let's remember what the term "Magic Negro" means.

The "magic negro" is a literary device. It is used in fiction to describe a supporting character who helps the protagonist succeed. Some of our favorite books and films use this device. Bagger Vance, The Shawshank Redemption, Million Dollar Baby, The Shining...

Rush or satirist Paul Shanklin were only attaching the term to Barrack Obama to parodying the use of the term by David Ehrenstein (A Democrat).

It's hardly as racist or offensive as Obama's own VP saying:

"I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that's a storybook, man."

So, before you go on with your ignorance, at least understand the terms your throwing around.

Taskr, I should have said that I don't think that Rush's racist comments were a factor in the NFL's decision. Yes, Rush has made racist comments in the past: Calling an NFL game as a game between the Bloods and Crips? I guess that isn't a racist comment is it? What about all of the white NFL players. Are they all gang memebers as well? Rush's comments about Darfur. These are all examples of Rush's race problems. But, I still don't think that it had anything to do with his NFL bid. That was all business.

myLot reputation of 46/100. thegreatdebater (1024)   ranked 514 out of 6,339 in politics  1 month ago

Irish, weren't you the one that sent me a list of the lies about Rush's comments that featured more blogs than news site?

myLot reputation of 46/100. thegreatdebater (1024)   ranked 514 out of 6,339 in politics  1 month ago

Ted, I have heard that audio of this, and you can defend it all you want, but it is what it is. Most people who listen to it and think it isn't racist are the same people that got the racist e-mails after the election and thought they were funny, and forwarded them to their friends. I know that those won't admit it, but that is their problem. We still have a major race problem in this country, and many that use that as a tool to control people. Is Rush one of them?

myLot reputation of 50/100. Taskr36 (4553)   ranked 422 out of 6,339 in politics  1 month ago

"Calling an NFL game as a game between the Bloods and Crips?"

He was clearly referring to the NFL's tolerance of violent criminals in the league. You can't deny that they've had no issue with allowing wife beaters, animal torturers, and gang members to keep playing so long as they are talented enough. How long was Ray Lewis suspended for again? Oh yeah, 0 days. Then when he won a Super Bowl they called it his "redemption". Yeah, cause winning a Super Bowl will bring those guys back from the dead.

"Rush's comments about Darfur."

Tell me exactly how his Darfur comments were racist. He was analyzing why democrats wanted our troops in Darfur, but not Iraq. No Democrat has ever been able to explain that to me.

I'll give you credit though, you nicely sidestepped the fact that I caught you blatantly lying. I guess you do it often enough that it's not really something you bother to address anymore.

How long was Ray Lewis suspended for again? Oh yeah, 0 days. Then when he won a Super Bowl they called it his "redemption". Yeah, cause winning a Super Bowl will bring those guys back from the dead."

Clearly he was talking about a bunch of Black Men who are in a gang killing each other. How many white members are there of either gang? How many gang members are there in the NFL? When was the last time a gang member was killed on an NFL field? Like I have told you before, Rush makes comments like this all the time. He is like that old guy that makes comments that can easily be taken as racist, but is smart enough not to come out and say it. But, that doesn't mean that he isn't one.

"Rush's comments about Darfur."

"Tell me exactly how his Darfur comments were racist. He was analyzing why democrats wanted our troops in Darfur, but not Iraq."

Because Darfur was a country made up of black people, and Iraq isn't. Rush claimed that Democrats were trying to secure the black vote. When we have invaded countries for doing less (Iraq). We were also lied to about Iraq, and I have yet to find one republican that can show me any proof that Saddam had anything to do with 9/11. D!ck Cheney has still never showed the country any proof of his claim, but to this day he says there is. Put up, or shut up D!ck!!!!

"I'll give you credit though, you nicely sidestepped the fact that I caught you blatantly lying. I guess you do it often enough that it's not really someth"

Taskr, like I said I miss spoke. I know that you were so happy to see where I screwed up, but you do think you want. I could careless what you think Taskr.

Ted, I don't consider Obama to be a racist, and I have never seen anything to challenge that.

When it comes to CNN lying, I am not happy with them not doing the research in this case. But, many consider CNN and FOX to be in the same class, and I can show you of many times when FOX hasn't done the research they should have. Do you defend FOX when they lie to us?

"Tell me exactly how his Darfur comments were racist. He was analyzing why democrats wanted our troops in Darfur, but not Iraq."

"Because Darfur was a country made up of black people, and Iraq isn't. Rush claimed that Democrats were trying to secure the black vote."

So if he thinks democrats are trying to secure the black vote, something you KNOW they work hard to do, that makes him a racist? As I pointed out no democrat has ever been able to explain to me why they would support military action in Darfur, but not Iraq.

"Ted, I don't consider Obama to be a racist, and I have never seen anything to challenge that."

Like spending over 20 years in a church that preaches racism? Calling a racist who hates America his spiritual mentor? How about hiring someone like Van Jones? Sure you can say none of these PROVE he's a racist, but not only are those facts, it's more than you have on Limbaugh, otherwise you wouldn't be promoting lies the way you have to convince people Rush is a racist.

Fiction is always the best choice.

The planet heating up a few degrees for a few years wouldn't turn heads. Polar bears dying and coastal cities being wiped out from rising water (they found extra water somewhere to displace, apparently) and Katrina-like hurricanes (although it was the levee that made that famous) do the job, though. Erase that carbon footprint, or you're just another dirty conservative who thinks you're better than polar bears -- and black people!

I watched a non-Dennis Miller O'Reilly tonight, which is rare for me. I watched as Juan Williams disagreed with another black man's point about Rush being some HUGE RACIST who wanted to "own" black people, and the guy insulted Juan by telling him to get back on the porch -- a house negro reference! LMFAO!

It's the hyperbole and exaggeration way or the highway. Boldness is what works, and fiction works the best for that, and you are not allowed as a free-thinking individual to exercise free thought, lest you best cast out.

rush is the number talk radio host period and all this racist bull crap will just make him even bigger then he already is.
in my opinion obama being put in the office as president of the united states both black and white folk's has proved to me the country is not any thing near being mature enough for a "real black man" to be elected president of the united state, this was the test run, obama first of all is bi-racial and not a black man certain types of people have bought in to that dammed lie, a white womb in a million year's can not produce a black child, can't be done.
obama and his gang has spoiled a chance for a real black man meaning a man that has both a black father and a black mother that is what i call a real black man.
obama was giving the chance of a life time not even qualified for the job and he has blow that chance with the american people, the democrats has a wonderful change to do big and wonderful things for our country they blow it all right out of the water.
if any dam thing is left of the united states in 2012 they all can turn around and kiss their ugly and greedy butts good bye.

This isn't just limited to attacks on Limbaugh by those on the left. You'll get the same with people on the right of politics making up things about say Obama or Moore. Sadly, this is the way it is. When people can't find facts to agree with their case then they'll invent stories which do agree with them. The net has zillions of bloggers who can write anything they like in pursuit of their own political viewpoint, which they then pass off as the truth. Way too many people these days see things on the net which agree with their views and then endlessly repeat it. By the time this process has gone round thousands of people, everyone comes to regard it as the truth when it is a lie.

It doesn't matter which side of the political fence people are on, this is what they do. The truth is supposed to be out there but there are so many lies that it has become more and more difficult to tell the truth from lies. And those who make up these lies are aware of this so they will continue to exploit this fact.

I suppose it all comes down to the same thing. People in general tend to believe things if what is being said agrees with what they already think. People have a hard time believing things which disagree with their established viewpoints. This is a basic psychological trait which all of us, as humans, share; it's commonly known as cognitive dissonance.

I can't tell you how to stop this happening Taskr, I really can't. The same as I can't tell you how to distinguish between truth and lies. All of us have our own personal belief systems and our own view of reality, most of which has been given to us over the years by other people. All I can say is this. I once had a view of how the world worked and I believed in certain things. Then one day, things happened which went against everything I had been told over the years was the truth. But my personal experience was now telling me that what I had thought was the truth wasn't. So what was I to believe in, what others had told me, or what I was now telling myself? I chose to believe in myself. I threw away all of my old belief systems and now I only believe in what I personally see and experience. I no longer believe in what the media tell me and I no longer believe in what politicians tell me. This is why I don't have any politics any more. If it was up to me I'd get rid of all political parties. You may disagree with me here but I can now see all of that for what it really is, one big illusion.

I'm not saying that I'm right or I have the truth or I have the answers. I don't, all I have are questions and I spend my time continually trying to find answers to them. My worldview changes all the time, what I may think one day could change by the next day, because I discover something new. But what I will say is this: I no longer have other people's lies, I have my own truths. I believe in myself only; and not other people.

Racists don't give Black people a seat at the table. Some of Rush's best guest hosts are Black. The ratings for the shows with Black guest hosts don't go down.

Sorry to burst the bigotry bubble of the left, but Rush isn't a racist...

But Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and Barrack Obama most certainly are.

Listen I do not know if he is racist or not and honestly I really do not care he would have to be the one to live with it. But please Ted don't use this for a defense either. This is kinda like I aint racist I work with black people, or I have black people in my family. The question is are you friends with them do you invite them over for a cookouts do you go out in public with them. There was a time when you knew who the racist were and then it calmed down and it was not acceptable and people all of a sudden became not racist " I think not" they burried those feelings and said nothing because of the consequences. Now the ugly roars out in many people since the big changes in our government, from all races.

Sorry my friend just the way that I feel. I happen to be a person that has many different friends from different cultures, I have raised my children to see only the hearts of people. I do know many people my age that tell their children if you date someone from another race I will never speak to you again. I have also seen that some of them meant it as well.

That's the incidious thing about throwing the term "racist" around as the left likes to do. They do it because the liars have set it up as an "undefendable" accusation.

The very fact that the scum has to make up lies about Limbaugh to "prove" he's racist only shows how low they are.

They will embrace their own racism, while throwing false accusations about it around.

It doesn't matter. Ted's right, it's an accusation you can't defend against. There is no more cliche defense on the planet than "I have friends who are black." I've been accused of being a racist several times on forums. One person even told me that it's obvious I've never even met a black person. I've pointed out to people that I have many black friends and actually work at a library where I am the ONLY white employee. Of course that means nothing to people who make such accusations. They pull the "you're so defensive you MUST be racist" crap. No matter what you say in response, they'll twist it to reaffirm what they want to believe.

I've seen it happen before Debra where a woman was accused of being a sexist because the accuser thought she was a man. Last week a poster who is black started a thread saying Obama didn't deserve the Nobel Peace prize and xfahctor told her to change her profile pic to something ambiguous and see how many people call her a racist. I wish she'd done that because it would have been funny to watch people make fools of themselves.

For some strange reason...the human infant is indowed with the ability to group things in categories. WE ALL DO IT! But some of us have learned to broaden those categories to contain more than just physical appearance. We quit making assumptions based on appearance because we have learned from experience that it is often NOT a reliable way to categorize things.

Unfortunately, some people have been taught early on to place worth on being 'same'. If you're different...they believe you have less worth. This is also a human trait...but it too, can be overcome.

I like the saying...'when you assume, you make an azz out of U and ME.
