Hello mylotters, i supposed you have seen the news about the baby that survived on a train accident when the stroller had fall unto the railway because of the mother recklessness. Watching that was really nerve wrecking. OMG! Without knowing it, in just a split seconds unattended your baby will be dead and gone. Its really a miracle that the baby survive. I am sure the mother of that child learned her lesson very well. What about you, any thoughts about it?

This is the first I've heard of the story. How scary! I'm sure the mother is kicking herself ten different ways right now. Perfectly good mothers can make life altering mistakes like that, and I'm sure her entire life would have been ruined if her baby had died. I just don't know if a mother could come back from a tragedy like that. I'm glad the baby is okay.

Hi Ambiepam, nice to hear from you. Personally i was really shock to see it on the news the other day and now you can see the video everywhere on the internet. It was really scary when i was watching it. I had shouted myself when the stroller with the baby fell in the railway and too late for the mother and the people around to grab it, the train had just come right after it fall. You can google it and watch it.I am sure you will be shock. It was a relief to know that the baby survive it which everybody would think its very impossible.

I don't know if you can watch the video on youtube, and doubted that it was shown. I watched it on the news and it was scary, alright..

Hey there, yes i read the news on the Sky News Website. Its a good piece of news for once, but to be fair the woman shouldn't have left the pram to near the edge in the first place.

myLot reputation of 96/100. cheenlly (2587)   ranked 619 out of 35,423 in people  3 months ago

yes i agree with you, the mother shouldn't left the pram near the edge. Perhaps she suddenly forgot when a friend got her attention. I supposed a baby stroller had a break. She should have put the break. Well i am sure next time she will do it. She had learned her lesson anyway.

That video is unbelievable...I remember (as most New Yorkers probably do) the story from three or four years ago about the guy who jumped on top of someone who had a seizure and fell on the subway tracks, and squashed him down between the tracks so that the train would pass above them. He saved his life and was all over the New York talk shows and news programs as a hero. I'm assuming the baby was so small that she fit into the same space.

Main is rescued by stranger on subway tracks:

Er..."man" is rescued, not "main." Time for more coffee...

myLot reputation of 96/100. cheenlly (2587)   ranked 619 out of 35,423 in people  3 months ago

hehehe same as mine earlier "brake" not "break"....to think i already had my coffee but i had no sleep yet and its already 8am here...phew! Anyway about that story, i was thinking yes maybe the baby its so small to fit into the space under the train. Lucky for him/her. Do you think trains are designed to be spacious under it, if it is i think it will be possible to survive and i think that's how the baby survive and the guy story as well.

myLot reputation of 37/100. Laurie1986 (285)   ranked 7,301 out of 35,423 in people  3 months ago

I think metro subways are designed this way, but I don't know enough about trains to know if above-ground trains have that foot-deep space between the tracks.

I have no excuse...it's evening here and I slept in.:P

Hi cheenlly: this news was like one of the scariest moments i've ever watched on tv, poor mom and as you said i hope she have learnt the lesson, that was horrible, very traumatic i will else add.

myLot reputation of 96/100. cheenlly (2587)   ranked 619 out of 35,423 in people  3 months ago

Yes its true, this would traumatize them both the mother and the baby. Every now and then it will remind her for her carelessness but i hope both of them will recover and that she learned her lesson.

I did see this & it was chilling, absolutely terrifying. It goes to show 1/2 a second can be a difference. Even though we don't use the train it is such a reminder never to let go of a ptram in any circumstance because it only takes a second for things to go horribly wrong:(

We have 3 children & our fair share of prams, for such light portable things this baby is very very very lucky to survive with just a bump.

myLot reputation of 96/100. cheenlly (2587)   ranked 619 out of 35,423 in people  3 months ago

Precisely you are right mummy2jake, 1/2 a second can be a difference that's why we have to consider this as an open eye for us to value and love every momnet we had with our love ones and for parents to take care more of their little ones. They are God's gift and it must be well taken care of. This is a living example that God is watching us like God watch the baby and save it.

I do think i had heard or read something about this. I think I do recall seeing it on the news. That was very scary and sickening to see the stroller go in front of the train like that. I hope the mother did learn her lesson but I do not think she should have the baby back if she is that irresponsible.

myLot reputation of 85/100. marciascott (11745)   ranked 637 out of 35,423 in people  3 months ago

Hey, Steph, How are you good to see you here. I haven't been here for qutie a while. I am coming back to pst more though. I hope all is well with you and your family, Have a nice Sunday!

myLot reputation of 96/100. cheenlly (2587)   ranked 619 out of 35,423 in people  3 months ago

Hi steph, Yes i am sure the mother had learned her lesson very well. I am not familiar with Australia's law regarding this but i know some countries won't let the custody back to her mother but i hope it will not come to this point. I am sure she had learned her lesson and this will be a good reminder for her to not be an irresponsible mother.

Yes, I heard about that story and I saw the news footage as well. I was really shocked and I'm surprised that the baby wasn't killed! In the video footage I noticed the mother talking on her mobile phone and then the pram slowly starts rolling forward away from her. I'm no expert on prams but why did she not put the brakes on at the rear of the wheels? I'm sure that this was a preventable incident. The train driver was amazing and he put the breaks on just in the nick of time, he was slowing down into the station anyhow. Both the mother and the train driver must have been severely traumatised by this event. Andrew

myLot reputation of 96/100. cheenlly (2587)   ranked 619 out of 35,423 in people  3 months ago

Surely you are right both of them have been traumatized by the incident. I am sure this will be in their dreams which will be hard to forget and yes this was a preventable incident if only the mother is not that careless. I was really shocked watching it so i am sure they are much shocked. Thank God the baby is alive.

Yeh I read the story and saw the footage on news, it happened in Australia. It was amazing how the stroller just went away within a couple of seconds. Its a miracle that the babay survived, the train arrived a couple of seconds after the baby fell onto the track but the pram got pushed away. Its a good reminder for parents to remain vigilant around kids and strollers.
