hi singlemommy great to see you here in mylot again. Hope you are well apart from that nuisance with the papers which you didnt find sooner.
LOL that has happened to me too, this spring. I needed some papers to do the taxes, and I knew there basically are two places in that paper mess where it makes sense to look for what I was searching for. I really was lucky that I didnt misplace them for real but found them quickly enough before I go berserk.

Hi singlemommy! This happens to me all the time. Like you, my house is a mess of remodling and unpacking/repacking. I am always misplacing stuff! Ususally it's only after I give up looking that I finally find what I need, and if I'm lucky I find it in time for its purpose.

I have and feel so stupid. Heck I am always thinking that I've lost things, and they can be sitting right in front of me.

Hey singlemommy! I have done that more times then I care to
count! I am constantly tearing my house apart looking for things
that I can't remember where I put them and then they are usually
somewhere right in front of me too! I get myself so worked up
that I tear the house apart, still don't find whatever it is
that I'm looking for and then when I try to calm down and start
all over again and try to think logically I find them right
in front of me! So I know exactly what you mean! And it is really
frustrating because this happens to me alot! I have lived in the
same place for about 29 years so it is even more pathetic for me!

I have never actually torn my house apart looking for something. I have had to look high and low for some things around here though. No one puts things where they go around here other than me so I have to look for things sometimes if I have not already found it and put it where it went, which is what happens in most cases.

yes, just last night!hehe..Actually I am looking for my blouse which I planned to wear today, then suddenly I cannot find the poor thing and I started rampaging my two closets and I put everything in my bed and flip my clothes one by one, then I found my blouse in the farthest corner of my closet.lol!

Yes of course that happens before to everyone! I left my keys on the dresser. I looked and looked. I tore the whole house up. It happened before with my wallet. It's all annoying and it makes me upset sometimes, right? I try to keep my items all in the same place so I don't misplace them. It is a good strategy.

I have done that before, then I've given up on trying to find whatever it was that I lost, and then I went out and bought a replacement item, because i still needed the thing that I could not find, and then lo and behold, a few minutes later, after I've opened and used the replacement, I've found the thing I lost. LOL

As much as I like to think I'm neurotically organized and know where everything is, even I do that myself. You know the putting something away for safe keeping, and then realizing you put it away so safe, you can't find it. That happened to me just the other night. I had bought a journal that I wanted to give as a gift for a friend of mine. I had gotten it a long time ago, and never got the chance to give it to her when I first got it....anyway, I was to visit her the next day and wanted to find it. So I could have sworn I had stored it in one of my large storage containers...I was literally taking everything out to find it..nope not there...and I'm like. where the heck is it? I was getting so frustrated. Then some hours later, I had to find some papers that I had stored in one of my dressers drawers...and guess what? Yup, the journal was there
