do you prefer to bake your own cake or just buying on the bake shop?

I live in India. Cake is not something which we eat very often. We have cake only once in a while and mostly during Christmas time. It is customary to visit our relatives during Christmas time with a cake. We don't usually bake food. Most of the common food items we prepare in my place are not made by baking. So, most of the families don't have a owen at home. So, we buy it from bakeries.

i love eating cakes but just like you, i don't know how to bake one. though i have gathered some recipes already. maybe if i have time i'll try baking on my own

I learned baking when I was in high school, it's one of the lessons in Home Economics subject(I guess you don't have this subject now). I love baking and I used to bake cake during special occasions at home, I would even go into checking food magazines that feature specially designed cakes. But baking your own cake is more expensive and stressful than buying one from the bakeshop. So now that cakes are available everywhere, I just buy whenever I want to eat or when there is a gathering at home. It's a more convenient way to enjoy my favorite food.

I am not a sweets eating, but i like a lot to cook this sweet food, in special cakes; i cook cakes for all my friends in specials days or for my family.
I really don t like to buy from store cakes, or other kind of food, i like homemade food.

hi amy, i prefer to buy in the bakeshop because i don't know how to bake a cake, and i think if i will bake it on my own for sure they don't taste so good.. i think it will be a very big mess to me and to our kitchen, hahha... but i love to learn how to bake e cake, i find it very enjoyable..

Well, I like to bake my own cake if I have complete baking ingredients as I learn to bake cakes before likes pineapple upside down cakes, chocolate cake, chiffon and brownies. They turn out alright as I follow the instructions under the cook book recipes. Sometimes it turnout too sweet or slightly sweet. Thus, through trial and error I make a good cakes and my nieces all munch its thus leaving only bits of cakes..Then, when I am not in the mood to bake I buy cakes to my favorites bakeshop and those I like in particularly are mousse chocolate cake, black forest, strawberry cheese cake,mango cake, ube cake, sanz rival, brazo de mercedes and lot more..just thinking of them makes me craves for it...

My sister taught me to bake cake and from then on i love baking our own cake. I baked cake for the family and even made it as a business but that was three years ago. My time does not permit me to do it now so i just buy cake when there's family gathering. I miss those days baking cake with my sister for the family.

I love cakes a lot, i tried baking cakes from the recipes that I got from the net but it always doesn't come out as expected. And so I prefer to buy ready to eat cakes in famous shops here when there are special occasions. In such way I can also save my time and spend cooking some other recipes as baking demands more of my time. Happing mylotting!

I enjoy baking my own cakes. I seem to be the family member who always bakes everyone's birthday cakes. There are times though when I get lazy. Then i will buy a store bought cake. i don't remember ever going to a bakery for one though. Like you, I get a little lift out of designing a cake. it's another good way to let your creativity flow.
