Morning or Night kids?

Mine are definately night owls, especially my third child. My daughter is more normal, goes to be early, gets up early. None of mine ever needed much sleep as babies though either, which made for a very miserable time for me as the boys never slept at night and my daughter would wake at a certain time, usually my bedtime!

Mine have always gone to bed at 7pm they are 5 and 3 now and normally asleep by 7.30 (altho in bed at 7) and wake about 6.30 to be honest it suits us i hate wasting the day in bed especially now we have school runs weve not had to make any huge changes to our morning routine they are always awake that early and dressed ready to go its just now they go to school/nursery

My kids are night owls. That is not really a good thing since my son has to get up for school in the morning. I have never been a morning person either. My kids don't go to bed till around 9 or 10 and then I have to drag them out of bed in the morning.

My son was always a morning kid. He would bounce out of bed in the morning. Maybe not always so early but always wide awake. He never lounged around. Now he will be 15 soon and he's trying to be a night owl. He loves to stay up on facebook or watching movies. It affects his mornings. So he's naturally a morning person but is trying not to be, I guess.

My daughter was more of a morning person too. She requires lots of sleep. If we were out late when she was little she would ask to go to bed. Now she's almost 12 and puberty is taking its toll. She is much crankier in the morning than she used to be. So while she's not a night owl, she's also not much of a morning girl right now either!LOL The key is to not rush her with anything. I'm really seeing the difference between girls and boys this year. She is so emotional lately. Hang on! The teens years will probably be even more interesting!LOL

I try to get them to bed early, and with the sun setting earlier it's really helping. My oldest is super cranky if she's up after 8:30-9ish at night & she's usually up anywhere between 6:30-7, the lil guy is up by then if not the first up once he hears me up (just like the dog does, is quiet til someone is up), the middle she's usually the last one up @ 7 if not a lil later. They like to stay up but if they do, it makes the next morning AWFUL!

They like to sleep in on school days and get up early on weekends. They like to stay up late if they can get away with it too!

My kids are usually morning kids too. My oldest can go to bed at midnight and still be up by 7 or 7:30. My middle one is usually up around then too, but if she gets to bed late she will sleep in a little bit. My youngest seems to be getting up around 7 every day but I think part of it is he needs a bigger bed. He is 2 and in a toddler bed, but I think he tosses and turns so much it wakes him up.

I have a morning baby! He's only 9 months old but he hasn't been able to stay up past 7pm for months now. He isn't up super early though, usually between 8-9 in the morning. He is very happy in the morning though and loves to play. At night, when it gets close to bedtime or shortly after bedtime he can turn into a grump and needs much more entertaining than he does in the morning.

I have no little ones anymore. But when I did, they seemed to get up early. However, I did have a early night bed time set for them.

My kids stay up late at night especially during holidays. My husband's a nocturnal person. I became one and so are my kids. However, as a mother, I try my very best to keep my children happy and at the same time healthy. During school days when they're required to go to school early, I force them to go to bed early so they can get at least 9-10 hrs sleep. When they sleep late on weekends, I tell them to wake up late and get straight sleep of at least 9-10 hrs. Happy Mylotting!
