How do you cope up with ‘Small hours’.

I always wake up a few minutes before the clock rings.
I think it's biological clock's working here.
Small hours seems never so rushed to me. cos I always get everything done teh evening before, I never expect to remember to do it in the small hours.

Many thanks for your invaluable tips. I have taken note of your suggestions. I agree with you that it is better to finish some tasks during the previous night/evening, so as to lessen the burden in the morning. It is good that you can afford to get up half an hour early to your scheduled time and you can finish your tasks quite easily. However, there are some tasks which we can perform only in the morning and when those tasks get added up and in between something unscheduled comes in, things go hay wire.

Your response tells that you also get entangled, when coping up with 'small hours'. You are right that sometimes it so happen that we come across some unscheduled work and that makes our schedule more tight. We (me and my better half) both commute together on bike/car, therefore, even if we get late, we can make up some time to reach our respective office. We also face problems in the morning and how much harder we try, we invariably get late to our office.............LOL! When one is required to commute through public transport than one can ill afford to get late. It is always tense time in the morning hours on working days. Thanks for sharing your story of morning hours.

Thats better you both commute together. So that you can drop her and go for your work.. My husband drops me sometimes when we both leave home same time.. but usually he leaves home very earlier than me..

We can adjust our timings and we prefer going together.

We always face tight schedule in the morning. You are very correct that we if happen to get up late, things go hay wire and our schedule goes topsy turvy. It is always better to rise up half an earlier so that we accomplish our tasks quite conveniently and without any hassels. Many thanks for joining us and sharing your views.

Hi ybonjoc!
So you also face the hassels of small hours and you also suffer morning blues.........LOL! We all are always in hurry early in the morning and we tend to race against the time. Sometimes clock also appear to run faster than our schedule. You please try to comb your hair properly, when you leave for your work, otherwise, your collegues will start asking you - "What happened with you, are you okay...........LOL"
Please do not worry about suspension, if you land in any problem, please let me know, I'll speak to your boss not to suspend you..........LOL!

For exact definition of 'small hours', please see the next response by our dear friend Kala. As far as you are concerned, I can understand your position, because you both are a working couple. For us also, it remains a very busy schedule. Kids leave firstly and before that we are supposed to prepare their lunch and breakfast and do their other sundry jobs, they always remain in hurry, so they direct us to do their jobs, as they get late and we oblige, even if we say that you should have done it the previous night.....LOL! Our part time maidservant also comes in the morning as per her own whims and fancies and we just cannot argue with her for her erratic timings. She comes as per her likings. ……LOL! We can always be seen racing against the time in the morning…………as some war is going to take place.....LOL! Thanks a lot for sharing your morning picture with us.

It is very true that I am always rather we both are always hard pressed for time, specially during working days. It remains a very tight schedule and first kids leave one by to their respective school/college, then time for other household jobs and followed by entry of part time maidservant. She comes as per her likings. ……LOL! We always race against the time in the morning…………..LOL! It is good that you finish more than half of your work during the previous night/evening that saves lots of time in the early morning. Moreover, you remain at home and you can manage the things easily in the sense that you can postpone your own tasks, when your son leaves. My better half prefers to prepares fresh dishes for our lunch in the morning, most of times. Moroever, she needs to prepare breakfast and lunch for both the children, which consumes lots of her time because both have difference choices.............LOL!
Many thanks for elaborating the definition of ‘small hours’. I feel that I can use the idiom in the context of my discussion. I may add here that me and my better half wake up very early in the morning before sun rise and sun rises after 30-40 minutes of our getting up. Now days, weather is changing and days are getting shorter and nights are getting longer here in Delhi. We get up in the dark every morning. I know it is very difficult when both people are working and when our servants don't cooperate it really compounds the tension.Your wife would dread this because she would be the one who would tackle a piledup sink and and also the meals.That is why I always opted to stay at home.It is a heavy burden especially on the Indian woman.

Indeed it is an uphill task for working women to handle office and home, as well. I get up at around 5.30 in the morning.

So you are also the victum of morning blues, this is what I can comprehend from your response. It also appear true to me that clock manfucterers develop clocks in such a manner that those clocks run faster in during the morning hours.......LOL!. I can understand and visualise your position and can feel how you and your little one run up in the morning to reach at the destination in time. Driving is an additional hassel in the morning, because everybody remains in hurry in the morning and drives faster, which could be dangerous.

Hee hee! Well, I wouldn't say "morning blues" - as that would mean that I see it as a depressing time of the day. I actually love the mornings - even though we are rushed to do things half the time. The rush can be exhilarating - waking us up - and warming us up for the rest of the day. When I used to work at a "job", I loved that the mornings flew by so quickly . . . it meant that I was that much closer to the time to go home - hee hee!!

OK! I replace the word morning blues with morning 'green'........LOL!
It is good to know that you enjoy your morning hours and you love to get up and work early.

OH! My God, you get up at four a.m. in the morning! Even I do not get up or say rather would not dare to get up so early. I get up between 5.00 a.m. to 5.30 a.m. It is good to know that you come out with your best during those early hours. Hopefully, you get the things ready for your daughter, when she wakes up. I can visualise your early morning position and can feel how you and your little one run up in the morning to reach at school on time. It is indeed interesting to know that her school is across the road, yet you sometimes manage to reach late..........LOL!. Many thanks for telling us about your early hours scenario.
