Brilliant CBS Investigation Gets BURIED by Media

Did you know that the Center for Disease Control stopped testing influenza patients for the swine flu back in July?
Did you know that CBS has been trying to obtain state by state numbers from the CDC for months and the CDC has been stonewalling them.
Did you know that if you go to the doctor or ER with the flu, they've been instructed to report it as the 'swine flu', even though they have not tested you for that specific virus?
Here's an interesting article chonicalling the efforts of CBS to get to the truth.
Last week, CBS News published the results from a three-month long investigation into the swine flu. One would think this would have received MASSIVE media exposure since their findings are in direct conflict with what the government is publicly stating.
Of major interest, as you can see on the video on the Saturday article, CBS investigative journalists went to the CDC to seek their help in clarifying the situation and answering outstanding questions but CDC officials refused. They would not cooperate and CBS had to do their own investigation.
Even worse, after CBS compiled the data, the CDC refused to comment on it.
What's this all about???
It can only make you wonder if the CDC is really interested in authentically serving the public good, or if, perhaps, it has been heavily influenced by outside corporate interests.
This is not good. The only way that we can have an effective response to the reported H1N1 influenza outbreak is if the government is transparent with the data. We have simply not seen ANY evidence that government health agencies are willing to be transparent. In fact, all evidence points to the contrary.
The CBS investigative report included state-by-state test results that revealed some VERY different facts from what the US Centers for Disease Control has been telling the American public.
The CBS report found that H1N1 flu cases are NOT AT ALL as prevalent as feared. A CBS article even states:
"If you've been diagnosed "probable" or "presumed" 2009 H1N1 or "swine flu" in recent months, you may be surprised to know this: odds are you didn't have H1N1 flu.
In fact, you probably didn't have the flu at all.
The results reveal a pattern that surprised a number of health care professionals we consulted. The vast majority of cases were negative for H1N1 as well as seasonal flu, despite the fact that many states were specifically testing patients deemed to be most likely to have H1N1 flu, based on symptoms and risk factors, such as travel to Mexico."
In most states the percentages ranged from 83 to 98 percent NOT BEING H1N1 or influenza.
Not only are most cases of suspected flu-like illnesses not H1N1 influenza, they're not influenza at all, but rather some type of cold or upper respiratory infection that looks like influenza but is caused by another type of virus or bacteria!

So, will you be getting the shot?

Even if all the supposed Swine Flu Deaths are actually from Swine Flu, it still isn't as deadly as the normal flus we get every year. I am highly suspicious about this vaccine and the tami-flu stuff they give out without you going near a doctor or taking a test - especially with some of the people making money out of it being those we should trust the least.

I know I am very cynical but I wonder if Obummer is keeping the nation so worried about the Swine Flu epidemic that they do not pay as much attention to what nasty deals he is getting us into.
BTW I was very surprised at CBS showing on the 6:30PM news that Obummer's poll scores are going downhill! His personal popularity is still at 62% but his performance as president dropped to 43%! This is first time I have seen his white house people airing that kind of information.

Is it enough and on time?
I mean, people are starting to question his 'pronoucements' and I too am surprised at the networks coming to the forefront with more questioning of his policies and dealings. But will it stop what appears to be in the works? Is it enough?

You really need to talk to hornswaggled. I know she can help you find some relief. Or go to a naturopath somewhere nearby where you live. Please?

it sounds really interesting that there are flu cases tha are being over reported. I just think that there are things that we could do that would more easily test for the flu. I do think htat people are overreporting the flu and making it something that doesnt really need to happen. I think the swine flu is not that deadly to most people, not that we shouldnt take precautions with it.

Testing for the swine flu is just a waste of time and money. It does not alter the course of the disease. Swine flu is little different than the regular seasonal flu except it comes on suddenly and hits you like a ton of bricks and you get very sick. However the course of the disease is not unusual and most people get over it in time with traditional treatments, rest in bed, take plenty of fluids and take some Tylenol for the fever and aches and pains. There is a dry cough associated with the swine flu.
The swine flu is the predominant virus circulating right now, usually flu season is later in the winter, and winter has not even hit yet, other than a few isolated snow falls in some areas. It has actually been warm here for November so having the flu this early is unusual.
I doubt any physician here in Canada would report a H1N1 flu infection for an upper respiratory infection, it would be unprofessional.

Yes, sometimes it is hard to know which way to decide. There is so much information out there some of it is just silly misinformation, and some of it is serious and true. All you can do is roll the dice and make a decision that seems best for you.
I decided to take the vaccine to protect myself as I am in a high risk group. I do not want to put my fate in the hands of others who catch the swine flu and then cavalierly pass it around because it is not serious to them, they assume it is not serious to me. If they would practice a little basic hygiene and not pass it around I would not worry as much.
Since the original outbreak in Mexico a year ago, it would have had to pass through a hundred people to get to me. If any one of them had stayed home or practiced a little virus control they would have broken the chain.

I wish you all the best and understand your decision.
YOu are so right about prevention. It is very necessary to protect all of us.

There are so many conflicting reports it is difficult to know who to believe. I live in a town of about 10,000 and NO ONE here is getting sick. I worked in a nursing home..no one getting sick. I hear that the REGULAR flu is being reported as SWINE FLU by default...they're assuming ALL flu is swine flu and NOT testing to see which is which.

HI debrakcarey, im so surprised with your article. I cant imagine the goings on with the CDC and CBS. What is CDC's agenda? And CBS too? Well, in our country, people were scared and they even opted to get an ordinary flu shut even if they know that there is a diferent vaccine for H1N1. Yesterday,i heard from the news that there is a second attack of H1N1 and most cases are in the US. Do you think we can believe the news or not?
My sister lives in Maryland and i asked her how true is the news but she said that H1N1 cases are not that high in their place and even in the hospital where she work.
Well, maybe as citizens, the best thing we can do is to protect ourselves, observe personal hygiene and healthy lifestyle to avoid diseases.
Anyway, thanks for the information.

CBS is trying to find out the TRUTH...CDC won't give them info they are asking for. CBS is not trying to fool anyone.
For a change.

That's unbelievable! Do they have a conspiracy? CBS with inaccurate reports and CDC that should protect the life of the people does the opposite. That shows that we should not always believe the news and we should also investigate. In our country there were also patients given that vaccine by the Department of Health but there was no feedback on its effects to the patients.

Ancedotally I've heard the same sort of thing. Health workers are sometimes reporting they are encourged to write down swine flu or H1N1 for practically any flu like symptoms. This is not good.

My blood pressure has been up for weeks!
I do hold on to hope, though. Seems like the media might be waking up. That is a good thing.

I`m finding it very alarming that many posters are implying that there is some conspiracy theory at work here. Anti-vaccination groups have been going on and on with dire warnings against the vaccine along with dubious claims of conspiracy theories. Claims range from the vaccine causing neurological disorders to reduced fertility to cancer. The problem is that this fear mongering may possibly cause more harm than the virus alone could ever do.
I can just imagine how the people in the pandemic in 1918 that killed 50-100 million people world wide would have felt about a vaccine. They would probably think we`re crazy for not taking a vaccine that is available. How many people have to die now to prove that this flu can kill you. I think we are a society of fear, and I don`t know how it got that way. I don`t know when we stopped trusting science and looking for the sinister motives behind it.

I have heard this, that they are reporting every case and swine flu. That makes the "emergency" more urgent and scares people into getting the vaccine. I think there is something fishy about that vaccine, otherwise why are they pushing it so relentlessly?

That is VERY interesting stuff...I just did a search on h1n1 statistics THIS morning and all I came up with were numbers from July...I thought that was odd since there was just a state of emergency called so I thought there should be more recent numbers but I count come up with anything more recent....I guess now i know why...
