My kitten died for unknown reason? When was the last time you had a pet die?

yeah i think i better search things it online. it just didn't cross my mind to look for answer on the net when most of the things i search it online but for pets it just didn't cross mind i can do so.

It's good to read how wonderful you treated your Pom. Animals are as deserving of love and care as people are... they depend on us. I love animals too.

My pomerian was a fox hair pom. We named her Foxy Lady. She was so spoiled. If the ground was wet when it was time to go out she would try to step on as less feet as possible. That was a funny sight to see. We had to stay at my cousins house for awhile. She had a german shepard and at this time. Lady had a boyfriend and a couple of babies. We kept all the dogs in the basement. Mine were separated from the german shephard. Some how Lady came up missing. To this day i do not know what happen to her. But i can take a guess. My cousin just told me Lady was missing and that she must of got out some how. I went to the local pound and put up flyers and put and add in the paper. I was even offering a reward. Somebody that both my cousin and i know asked me months later if my cousin ever told me what happen to Lady. I believe the shepard killed her. It would have been nice knowing the truth. Sometimes the truth can hurt but closure would have been nicer. If that is what happen i would have perfered the truth from my cousin. I wouldnt have been on an all out search for her.

we in the philippines. love to take care of our pets like you do in your country. but we don't care for them like the care you do for them. i am just amazed on how much attention and care americans give to their pet. i once read those who know how to care for pets will somehow transfer that same care for humans. and so we are cruel with animals we may transfer that behavior to humans too.

Yes, unfortunately that may be true. If we are nice to animals we are nice to people and if we are cruel to animals we are cruel to humans too. I dont understand people that dont like animals. I was born and raised in farm land so i love animls and have almost always had pets. I use to have a male friend that didnt like animals. He didnt have many people friends either. If he had a friend they didnt last long.

But really i do think americans can go way overboard about their pets. The cats i have now are like my kids. Many people that can not have children will have pets and treat them like their kids. Even desideing who gets the pets in the case of divorce. Im just sure people in other countries dont do this, but i could be wrong. I do feel bad about that when i think of people that dont even have homes and my pets are sleeping under my fuzzy blanket with me.

oh that is really surprising to hear that you even the pets have to be decided to which person they will end up if the partner has divorced. that is really unbelievable. i even heard in one US talk show or news i think, we have that in cable. anyways, that the cat inherited all the wealth of the filthy rich old lady after her death. i wonder what the cat will do with the money. LOL. i just think that the cat can still live a good life without that inheritance. anyways, it just shows how people there car for pets. that is admirable though i think.

Yes, all that is true. It happens here in america. Thats why sometimes i feel bad knowing my pets have it better than some people do. But some people go way overboard. I dont think i do. Or at least not since our little dog had a car seat. That was mostly my pre-teen daughter doing all that. Shes grown now with her own children. Her daughter does some silly stuff with their cat now. Lol!!! I dont think her daughter has tried to dress the cat in clothes yet. Like her mama did our dog.

my kitten just stay outside the house, just hang around the house and the front yard and just sit in any place outside the house in the open area. there are lots of places for them to stay outside the house. there is some ares where they can find some shade to protect them from rain and sun, and they can play in the garden. our suspicion maybe something that cat ate. like we give also chicken bone, maybe something hurt her throat that he was not able to it because of some pain on his throat. we mostly give left over food here in our country. we don't have pet foods. only for the rich people would pets eat pet foods. i will try to check what distemper is about.

One of the reason i dont allow my cats outside is there are mice in our area. Im afraid some neighbor could have set out posion for rodents. If the cat eats poision rodent they will also be posioned.
Distemper is horrable. Once it gets into a house it will effect all animals that come into that house in the future. Usually you can tell if it was that. They will lose appitite, have temperature, have runny nose and mattered eyes. They will also be off balance just before not being able to walk at all. I do not know if the house can be rid of that. Like a serious deep cleaning.

the other stray cats didn't show the same symptoms until now so i guess it was not distemper that killed my cat. it is not possible for us to let the cats and kittens in, they often bring in dirt from out side. we need to keep our place clean always.

oh. i am sorry to hear what happened to your pet and to hear the loss of your brother. that was really terrible to lose them bought with just few days apart.

yeah, i think that caring for our pet makes us involve with their lives, in their safety and in their comfort and every thing about. we would wish to do every thing for them. but though here in my country we still don't consider or treat and care for pets like humans do but still we feel for our pets each time they suffer.

yeah it did hurt losing a cat. i think most of us do. some people though don't feel that way. specially here in my country where dogs are a delicacy for some people. but the law is prohibiting it so there is a law now for it. we have not much laws protecting animals. so i guess i think we should learn from US and give animal protection and rights too.
