Well I watch Fox News, not only because I feel they are far less biased than other networks, but because they'll cover stories that networks like CNN and MSNBC will pretend don't exist like the Tea Parties, ACORN scandals, the violation of Joe the Plumber's private information by an Obama supporter, etc.
When I hear about stories that aren't covered by the mainstream media, I also find it helpful to visit the sites of local newspapers and such that focus on politics in that region.

Taskr, just because CNN and MSNBC don't sponsor and promote the tea parties and have someone there warming up the crowd for their cameras doesn't mean they don't cover them. Let's face it, Fox gives much less coverage to anything that may reflect badly on the Republicans than they do to that which shows any Democrat in a less than favorable light. You and I both know there are enough bad things to report on both parties to keep everyone busy a full 24 hours.

..actually Fox News reports on the wrongdoings of republicans which was so reported on by other outlets all during the last administration, insisting the economy was bad way before it was(before the dems got control of the houses of congress) for example. I was wondering the other day about the news outlets which were so determined to show film of soldier's caskets coming home? I guess that interest has left them too.. The reporting other outlets did on the tea parties was to insult. Liberal protests are lauded and the outrageous protesters ignored, but with conservative protest they put as bad a slant on them as possible. I don't mean to argue but get a little weary of the bashing of the one conservative broadcast among the many liberal, and get very tired of being bashed.. Lately it's all about everyone being rascist who doesn't agree with Pres. Obama's policies. Yet outright calling Pres. Bush a buffoon and liar was politically correct. I see all this as a politically correct prejudice..

Hahaha, everyone has biased news to swing their own way. I suppose the best unbiased news you might is from a non-profit organization or a person running a blog(Although with them the news might not be "biased" but it might be fiction.)

These days it's really hard to find totally unbiased news anywhere. One of the reasons is there are so many sources of news these days that didn't exist even a decade or so ago and sometimes they're not even intended to be straight, unbiased news but they're not identified as commentary or opinion so some people accept things as hard facts that really aren't. CNN has been around for the longest but now with the other 24/7 news networks it's so easy for news and commentary to become blurred. Really, unless there's some huge story going on such as the shootings at Fort Hood or an election, it's nearly impossible for any network for find "news" to fill up 24 hours.
There are lots of great websites that report fairly unbiased news but you have to be careful that you're not mistaking an opinion blog for news. Blogs are fine because they often provide links to actual audio or video recordings of interview and speeches as well as the full transcripts but they also usually have the writers' opinions mixed in. Whenever I post a link to any blogsite I make it a point to say it's there for the video or transcript but I still get accused of using "hate blogs" if it's known for leaning even a little bit to the left...lol!
One place where there's never any bias is C-SPAN. That's a good place to watch speeches and other "major" political events if you don't want it to be interrupted by a bunch of pundits telling you what you should think of what you're hearing!

hi valentinesdiner I go to CNN for news online as it seems
more complete than some of the other news sources. They do
not seem to me to be biased at all but I have not made a
study of which are biased and which are not. I just know that
I myself like CNN.

I rather watch news on CNN. They I believe are the least biased and its very good reporting. I can't stand the local news programs. They don't tell you everything that is happening in the world and its just so much about sports and just boring stories.

I like Fox News because they report a lot of things the other networks ignore. They have their biases, though, just like all the others do. I honestly don't think there are any unbiased news sources any more. It's all a show and one-up-man-ship. There is precious little real reporting any more. We'd probably all be shocked if we knew the things we haven't been told.

Review involving opposing viewpoints. I often examine opposing views to understand and conclude.

I think the best way to get unbiased news is not from any one source but from multiples. Even organization that really try to be balanced, there is always a little opinion in there. I like to use multiple sources, and draw my own conclusions.
