what is going on?

hi fellow mylotters I did get oodles of notifications if that is any help; just could not get my responses loaded. only on the hot site could I get any responses loaded.

I am still getting notifications, but I have a feeling I am not getting all of the notifies from friends or at all from certain friends.

hi somecowgirl I would not mind if it waS just slow, but I left one response sitting in the space,went down to dinner,came back and it still sat there.

hi somecowgirl no it cannot be my computer as on hot subjects mylot loads fine so it has to be a glitch as my computer works fine on all the other sites I have been on. I also have a new AVG 9 antivirus just installed last night so have no viruses nor spyware.

Wow! That sounds like it's really bad. Dinner can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour just to eat depending on if your talking or not! That is slow! Maybe it's your computer, I'd see about spyware or malware.

hi jerzgirl think it may be because the weekend and all the people are on here at once, I a m in Ca so that probably does not help either.Hopefully I can get on better tomorrow being a work day.

slow is one thing fwidman but After an hour and it did not load, then what? I cannot belive it is my computer as other sites load and whatever. I am in ca maybe that makes a difference, itis just so frustrating, Iwould not mind waiting five or ten minutes even but after that it looks like there is a snafu someplace.

hi fellow mylotters I did clear history and the cookies and that afternoon my firefox wored beautifully.

hi rosepedal it is working great to day so I do not think firefox was too blame I thinkit was mylot all along and am glad to have firefox back as its so much nicer to use than IE.

i rosepedal64 what ever it was the moment my son came I turned back to firefox and it was once more loading like it should so am glad of that. I like firefox as it had features that IE does not have like spell checking and letting you have a number of tabs open.

I have never used Firefox so I'm like you,it was probably mylot. But real glad to hear that everything is working fine now.

hi grandma I used both andjust went back to firefox and its' loading fast and all is working like it should so think' maybe it was mylot here all the time. anyway it is working now.

hi dawnald my firefox is back working just fine, loading response and comments and no sitting there spinning wheels like before.

i did that but it did not c orrect but went back to firefox today and its working just fine so am thinking that mylot did have something to do with this afterall.

Thankfully, rebooting usually does the trick. Anything more advanced and I usually have to bring in the experts (my son or step-daughter). I feed them and in return they keep the computer running. It's a delicate balance, but it works...

Hi Hatley! It could have been a little glitch with firefox too, that's been resolved. Programs like that are always 'works in progress' and constantly updating with minor changes. It's possible that an update caused havoc until it was corrected. No mater what the issue was, glad everyting is working correctly for you now!

hi fellow mylotters well firefox is just fine today' so think mylot was upto its old tricks and now has cleaned up its act thank goodness.

Alice, I had errors yesterday when I was trying to myLot. I kept getting an error message and the site would not load. I have not noticed any changes, though, so perhaps it was just minor maintenance or something. I am not sure that "exciting" would be the word that I would use, but "interesting" does come to mind. The banners do help to pay for the site, and I was not complaining about them as such. However, certain banners can slow a site down or keep pages from loading or from loading properly. These type of banners should be identified and modified to improve site performance. It does not do myLot or the promoting site any good if the pages with the banners cannot be displayed, because then nobody sees them and that definitely does not promote earnings.

Hatley, I agree that everything seems to be working alright now, but I do not think that I would count on that being the case for all that long. It seems like every time they do an "upgrade" there is some sort of issue. Fortunately, it also seems like they correct the glitches fairly quickly, too, so that is a good thing.[b][/b] Thank you so very much for giving me the honor of BR.
