The Mountains of Minnesota!

we have a rather large one in the city park where they shoved all the snow from the main drag.i guess they had nowhere else to put it. it's dirty snow though,and it looks awful.

So much slop too! I have never seen it like this where it's raining and snowing at the same time....makes you cold to the bone even though the temps are still up there....wish it would make up it's mind....either snow.....or rain...but NOT both!

It is the same situation here in Nebraska too. From yesterday we are getting snow and wind. Weather is crazy here. We all want snow in Christmas, but not like this. People are getting hard time to get around. Neighborhood roads are worse, no sidewalk to walk on.

I dint have any man made snow mountains here. I was trying to think of man made mountains near me, but there are none. There are lopcations where I have seen man made sand mountains, or gravel mountains. I have seen sometrhing of the snow in the US on TV.

hi Grandpa Bob oh no no snow at all. I just looked out the window and the sun is busily shining away, does it not know its Christmas day? wow. never seems like Christmas here in Southern Ca but again its not freezing altho its not nearly as warm here today as in other Christmas days.The sky is blue but alas there is a nasty grey cloud of smog on the horizon too. So I imagine the people in Los Angeles have warnings on the bad quality of the air. But it really is Christmas day so Merry Christmas Grandpa Bob hope you and your family have the greatest New Year ever.

LOL! We sure do here, but not as big as what you have. I live on the Eastern Shore of MD. We used to live up in Garrett County MD. Now that might match what you have there in Minnesota. Thanks for the picture. Gives me an idea for a new discussion. Btw, I currently read you have 12,484 posts on myLot. So, how long have you been on myLot?

gee that is not very good, I hate know what the worst storm was did you live through it?

I wish we would get a good snow here in Indiana. We have not really had more than an inch of the white stuff this year. All they are calling for, are some flurries right now. I wish we could get about a foot or two, to play in LOL.

lol, those aren't mountains, they're mosquito bites.....come on up here and I'll show you mountains. Anyway, yeh, we have a few of those white man made sort here already,more sure to come with the storm moving in later tonight. They say it is supose to change over to rain tomorrow though so some of those mountains may be a little smaller by days end tomorrow. Argh..I hate winter, I need to moce to someplace like southern Florida or something, the older I get, the harder winter gets to take.

No man made mountains. There is a man made outdoor ice rink though. Follow US 50 up into the mountains though and there are lots of piles of snow all over the place!

Hi GRANDPA BOB, Gosh!!! I have never seen so much snow, it is a big mountain, lol, I'll be lost in all that snow. Tamara

OMG!! GrandPa Bob: After seeing that picture I'm just grateful to know that you at least still have power there; I know your area is/has been hit very very hard this year so far; Good Grief!! Do you have a fireplace there in case you all lose power or some other sort of back up power? I just don't know how you all put up with all that dreadful snow; Its darn cold here in Missouri today but NOTHING like what you all have had/ take care, stay warm and stay safe; HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO you & your family;

I don't have any any mountains around me at all. It's pretty much in the middle of nowwhere and I don't like it. I live in the country and there isn't much to see here. It's all pretty much the same things all around!
