Contaminating the swimming pool....  

This discussion actually reminds me of Shrek. When he farted, the fish all died and floated up!

I guess your sister is just really considerate of other people swimming in the lake. But yes, it's unnecessary.

Your mentioning Shrek made me smile. lol. Yeah, it probably doesn't matter if you pee in a lake or river or the sea. What's kinda uncomfortable is peeing in the pool. I mean, you gulp pool water. Lol.

I would never gulp the water. Just because ya never know maybe soembody did pee in there.

@ both: I have gulped pool water too many times. By accident, that is. Believe me, swimming in public pools is just as risky as jumping into a swamp of crocodiles!

I have always prefered natural bodies of water rather than pools. Water gets gulped there too. Accidently of coarse. My daughter always prefered pools. She says they are cleaner. I feel as if they are not. What ever gets into a large body of water is easily dispersed and thined out quickly. Just my opinion.

Well they say, LOOKS can be deceiving! I don't think pools can be cleaner than natural bodies of water. Or that I think they can be both dirty at different degrees. But we love them nonetheless. Even tub water is not safe.

My major concern about natural water are the natural lifeforms or everything that can be hazardous in there. Like in the sea, I always fear I'd step on a sea urchin, or a sharp piece of coral that might get me injured. So I prefer the pool because I am sure that I'm only treading on tiled floor.

Yeah and dont forget the jelly fish and sharks. In my home state of Iowa, USA. we are very far from oceans. There was one lake there that had tiger musk. They had teeth. Nobody ever got bit by one but if you had a sore the baby ones would come into shallow water and nibble at your sore.

the gas will diffuse, but bacteria is not gas, so is it not possible for the germs to dive back into the water, when the bubbles burst? Just a thought!

don't worry bacteria can die easily because of the surrounding..
they will die i think for just a minute..
because they can't live in a surrounding full of chlorinea nd also sunlight and heat can kill them..
so don't worry.. :) lol

Would be easier to make a 'bubble' bath if you put a capful of soap in the filter. Would probably last longer too, and no one would have to hold their breath.

A very fine way to conceal the bubble of my 'gas' from the soap bubbles!

Well, I was gassy that day which is not really usual, so I guess in a way I was ill. Just not that bad. But I was pretty sure it was gas and nothing liquid ever got out along with it. LOL

Exactly! Which led me to this thought: What if you wanted to be alone in the public pool but there's too much people. Do you think these people would leave if you placed one of those fake, yellow, plastic stools somewhere along the pool? lol.

I remember a prank before pulled on our teacher by our silly classmate. He placed the plastic "poo" on the table of the teacher.

Seconds after she arrived, she let out a shriek! I don't know how the boy managed to avoid detention or punishment but somehow he did.:)

I think everyone would all report to the management so there is a big chance they'll find out the poo is fake.
