This Father Must Be A Psycho Case To Even Think Of This Punishment For Son  

HI pywacket oh my that's just sickening how could anyone sane be that cruel. and over some damned money. The man must indeed be insane as no sane person could do that to his own child. spanking maybe but to deliberately burn that child.You do know what the real punishment should be,make him stand with his damned hand over a lit burner for 120 seconds so he can maybe realize what a fiend he is and then stuff him in an oven and make him think he will be roasted alive. sounds gruesome but thats what he did to a poor little boy. Maybe the world is getting nuttier every day. oh that was so horrid. I hope he never gets to be around that child again ever. He needs to rot in jail. I wonder where the mom was in this case, or maybe the insane dad did away with her too. could be.

That's FOR REAL?! That is COMPLETELY inhumane. I don't understand how parents would be able to actually live with the fact that they hurt their children this much. I'm sure that this child will remember that for the rest of his life, and he probably won't even look at his father the same way. I feel bad if I even yell at my kids. My goodness, I wonder what's going to happen to the father now. :o

Well, there was a time when news was so bad that people could kill other people and get away with it...

There was a time where this would've been considered extreme, but also a kind of "eye for an eye" type punishment.

I'm not going to say I approve, I don't. I'm not saying it was all right then, because it wasn't.

I would hope we would have "matured" enough as a race or society to not do STUPID things like this guy did, but obviously we aren't.

So I hope this worthless piece of trash masquerading as a human is never allowed to be around children again!

Today kids aren't disciplined enough but this is cruel and unusual punishment. How could anyone hurt their own child like that? I don't have any children and I can't imagine doing that to a child. I wouldn't even do that to my pets! I wonder where the mom was when all this was going on. Maybe she is just as crazy as the dad must be. I think we do hear more due to the media, but people seem to be getting worse, on the news or not.

for child abuse and hopefully will never see his son again! And
again, where was the boy's mother when all this sickness was
taking place? WTF is wrong with this world? And thank God he
was taken to the hospital, but by who? Did the father take him?
Somehow I doubt it! And at least he did confess to this haneous
crime and thankfully didn't turn on the oven! I just don't even
know what to say anymore! I just get sick when I hear these
stories and can't believe that these people have children! I
hope that this child will be able to be given to a nice family
who will be able to help him forget the torment he has already
gone through! I pray for this poor little boy!

I heard of someone who put a child's hand on the stove for stealing before. I have never heard of the rest of this happening. I think stealing is very bad as well. but,the poor child did not deserve to be treated this way. Life is getting hard for all of us and kids are getting their fair share of it. Poor kid.

OMG!!! The article said he allegedly held the boys hands over the fire for 120 seconds.. 2 FREAKING MINUTES!!! Allegedly???? Is the boy's 2nd and 3rd degree burns alleged burns? That father deserves the same thing done to him.

I think it was better when parents felt they could spank their children.All these alternatives are dangerous.

I once knew a man that told me this happened to him when he was a boy..they put his hand over a hot burner for stealing a bike..well borrowing it you know.

Not getting in the oven part, but the hand over the burner.

I will never forget him telling me that and I didn't know what to say..He also had been in and out of the mental wards and also escaped from one indeed.

So I believe these crazy less than humans that do these things have always existed it is just now we have more access to hear about them.

I feel so bad for the child..breaks my heart to think of how he is going to cope with this experience all his life.

I have lived through much abuse in the outside world, not in my own home, but once I got out, I have cared for several abused children, and it hurts me beyond words to hear these things. I have heard many 'secrets' both from children and adults about abuses suffered at the hands of nutcases like him.

I'm hearing more and more such cases....it could be because of the media and things are coming out in the open....I can't be sure of that, though.
I'm seeing a lot of parents around me being irresponsible, harsh...brutal...etc.
I don't know what's come of this world. Everyone seems to have so much pent up negative energy and the easiest target seems to be the children!
