What is the hero of Marxism loving celebrities and politicians, Hugo Chavez up to lately?
It seems he's not content merely robbing the oil companies for his own..er, I mean, the good of Venuzuela. Now he has his sights on the apartment building market. Not being one to relish a little competition, he simply seized them and made them his own.. er I mean "the peoples').
I wonder what his adoring fans in the US will say to defend this? I bet they don't even see anything wrong with it. After all, he is Hugo, the dictator piece trash with a heart of gold.

I am sure he is doing it to raise the standard of living and lower rents. That will be the spin. However, reality check, that just wont happen. If he is seizing the properties, that will ensure there will be no private ownership.

That is exactly what he wants...no private ownership of anything. He wants the government to control everything...therefore making the people dependant on the government for everything. Sence HE is the government that makes the population dependant on him. He is trying to control of their whole lives.
Have you seen what happens to newpapers or news channels that say ANYTHING bad about them? He takes them over and then makes them print what HE wants.
I don't know how anyone thinks he is a "good guy".

I believe that this is called Socialism and that this is what the US wants...This is not simply public housing for the poor. This will encroach on the middle class as well, until only the small group of the ultra rich can own whatever they want.
This is happening here with the foreclosures. Haven't you been watching the news. The banks were investigating the foreclosures and found that many of them were done without even checking paperwork? They were supposed to continue checking, but now they have stopped suddenly and continued foreclosing and even those in error are still foreclosed...America needs to wake up and stop being so damn naive. Our leaders are pieces of trash too all of them. Only trash goes into politics. Only trash seeks power. One term in office guarantees them an income for life and very good free medical...what do they have to lose?

All he is trying to do is create a workers paradise. Look at the happy contented people in Cuba. He is trying to improve on that model and make things better for the people. Look how well the Public Housing has worked in the US. People are happy, safe, and content living is the wonderful public housing in the US so why can't the people in Venezuela enjoy the same as the US?
