Do you buy your Christmas goodies early, like me?
But do you always eat these goodies before Christmas?
if there is chocolate in the cupboards, it will drive me crazy until I eat it.
Right now I am having a can of Sprite and eating chocolate covered cherries.
Do you do this as well?

Although there was a time in my life that I would have gone crazy if I knew that there were sweets in the house and wouldn't be content until I'd eaten them, that isn't the way that I am now. You see, my daughter doesn't like chocolate and that has actually changed the way that I look at sweets and I really don't eat them that much either anymore. I will eat some chocolate during my time of the month but other than that I don't really eat chocolate anymore.

Lucky you.
I wish I was that way.
I went to the store today and bought a bit more.

Chocolate covered almonds are the favorite here.
Every week or 2, I buy a big bag of them.

We usually do not buy candy early as this is what happens to it. I personally really like to do a lot of baking at this time of the year and so I am enjoying those goodies. just had a sugar cookie and a peanut butter cookie.

There are some goodies in the house, and it has been slowly disappearing. Just today I was at Wal-Mart and saw a 24-piece Ferrero Rocher for less than $11. I thought it was a deal, so I got 2 to last me until Christmas morning.
And then I went to a local Chinese store and saw this same box of chocolate for less than $8.50! So, I bought 2 more.
So, goodies will still be eaten early, but this time the rate will be a lot faster!

Yes, and boy the whole family devours them, including me! I'm getting fat as the outdoors now, unfortunately, from the egg nog and extra muffins!
This year I'll just bake less goodies for our Annual Holiday Pig-out Fest, so that we won't - well - eat so much! Because on the years before, I'd bake so much and have so much left over that it's hard to not gorge on the stuff.
I only wish I had willpower :-(

I tend to buy lots of different sorts of sweets and chocolate and i tend to put them in a box in my loft, so that i am not even tempted to eat them.It is not until christmas eve that i get them down from the loft.Even though i have lots of tins of sweets, bars of chocolate, even cans of coke, i still never have any until christmas eve.

I have had a few goodies already. What I have left though are for gifts and I can resist long enough to give them away. I haven't had chocolate covered cherries for a long time. My sister is looking for the Brach's brand. She likes those best....I haven't seen them around. Usually it's the Queen Ann brand.

I agree if there's chocolate in house it must be devoured. There's just something so satisfying about chocolate. As they say 1 piece is never enough but 1 piece (and knowing there's some in the house) is too much!

I buy sweet mince pies and that is about it. My favourite Christmas food is sweet mince pies, so I always buy a box with my weekly shop.
Since I don't host Christmas, I tend not to buy much Christmas food. I don't even have an advent calendar.

I think that part of Christmas is eating all the goodies they have available this time of year. We are getting groceries tomorrow so we will be getting goodies then. I don't usually care for the chocolate covered cherries because they are so sweet but they actually sound good. I like See's chocolates myself.

My biggest weakness is pumpkin pie and real whipping cream. OMG you should have seen me on Thanksgiving...I keep running down to the kitchen after dinner and sneaking another piece of pie like a little kid. Back and forth I went to the kitchen all night long, until I felt sick to my stomach.

I have been doing that, and I haven't felt good about it. I feel like I am gaining weight that I don't want.

Oh gosh as soon as I see the Christmas candy in the stores I want them all. But I am very big on exercising and maintaining my weight so I do not even dare. As if I buy a box it will go in one sitting.
So I try to wait as I get a great many as gifts. Sometimes I get so many fancy boxed rich chocolate so I re-gift to others as believe me if I keep it I will eat it. LOL.
