This is a very interesting article. The pastor is saying the Democratic party is trying to whitewash their own history. The Democratic party was founded about 200 years ago. I remember from when I got married in 1970 how much the Party has shifted and changed. When we got married we were Democrats but as the Party became more liberal and leaned toward socialism, we switched to Republican. Now Reverend Perryman is calling them on the lies on their web page. The web page states: " Democrats are unwavering in our support of equal opportunity for all Americans. That’s why we’ve worked to pass every one of our nation’s Civil Rights laws, and every law that protects workers. Most recently, Democrats stood together to reauthorize the Voting Rights Act. On every civil rights issue, Democrats have led the fight. We support vigorous enforcement of existing laws, and remain committed to protecting fundamental civil rights in America. What is true, is that the Democratic Party blocked every effort by the Republicans towards Civil Rights. In 1985, General Sherman and Secretary of War Edwin M. Stanton went to meet with twenty Black community leaders in Savannah, Georgia to discuss freedom and reparations for former Black slaves.… By June 1865, over 40,000 former slaves were settled on 40-acre tracts of land. Over 400,000 acres were allocated. In September of 1865, Democrat President Andrew Johnson reversed Field Order No. 15, issued special pardons, and returned the land to former slave owners.’ The Republicans gave, yet a Democrat took it away. Part of the lawsuit is to ensure the Democrat Party is portraying their history truthfully and factually. It gives a list of 10 things the Democratic party was adamantly opposed to such as...the thirteenth amendment abolishing slavery, the civil rights act of 1866 giving blacks citizenship, the fifteenth amendment giving all citizens the right to vote, The 1957 Civil Rights Act and the 1960 Civil Rights Act and many more. President Woodrow Wilson is a hero to the Democratic Party but in his presidency he allowed various officials to segregate the toilets, cafeterias, and work areas of their departments. One justification involved health: White government workers had to be protected from contagious diseases, especially venereal diseases, that racists imagined were being spread by blacks. In extreme cases, federal officials built separate structures to house black workers. Most black diplomats were replaced by whites; numerous black federal officials in the South were removed from their posts; the local Washington police force and fire department stopped hiring blacks. Wilson’s own view, as he expressed it to intimates, was that federal segregation was an act of kindness.” This is a very interesting article. Well worth reading it all. http://patriotupdate.com/articles/black-pastor-sues-obama-democratic-party-for-racism

This is an interesting post. I hadn't heard about this lawsuit. I will surly look into it further. In my opinion however, I feel that neither party is really there for Blacks. The Democratic party today just assume that they have the Black vote and do very little and the Republican party has pretty much made it a point, in my opinion, of NOT liking Blacks at all. They seem to be more for the money. Rich people and corporations. Why wouldn't they want the rich to pay their fair share of taxes? Why would they want the diminishing middle class, disabled, poor and retired to shoulder the burden of paying for the tax debt? Quite frankly, I wish we had a third political party and also that we could fire each and every one of the existing congressman and senators and start all over again. It is clear to me the ALL of them are about money.

There was an interesting show on tv a few years ago that lasted only one season. It was about the son of a congressman who was elected to Congress to help out the Democratic party keeps the status quo except the new congressman was an independant and actually tried to affect change no matter what. It showed a lot of the finagling and passing around of favors that goes on behind the scenes in congress. It was quite enlightening. I always wondered if it was too true and not politically correct and that's why it didn't last. LOL I think they've all forgotten they work for the public and not there to just fight each other and uphold their own parties "standards" and grandstand in the news.

There are still a few good people in Congress that are doing what we sent them to do, but most of them haven't been there too long. I don't want to punish the good people by tossing them out.

I believe the Democratic party has consistently rewritten American history to make things appear more favorable to their agenda. I support the black pastor's premise. Many people have not taken the time to study into the issues themselves and will be easily duped into believing the fairy tales the liberal democrats make up. True American history bears out that the democratic party acted to prolong slavery and has had a disparaging record on civil rights issues. Martin Luther King, Jr. himself was republican by affiliation, but no democrat would believe that.

I think it's high time someone called them out on things like this. Racism is not nearly the problem it once was, but it's more of a problem than it should be, mostly thanks to political manipulation. Democrats think they are so with it because we now have a Democratic "black" president, but he's caused more lines to be drawn than he has erased.

It was the Dems. who lynched the white Repubs. right along with the blacks who were trying to win the right to vote. Young white Republicans went down into the bottoms of the South and worked with the Blacks to win them the right to vote and worked against segregation. They were murdered and lynched right along with the Black folks by the KKK. The Democrats were never for the "Little Guy" until recently and actually they still are not. They just want to suppress them and keep them down and out by keeping them on welfare. Welfare is DESTRUCTIVE! It destroys the family unity and all hope of success.

I do not know of this Pastor, but I do know that he is absolutely correct and very courageous. Scripture says, in Proverbs 21 and 28, "The righteous are concerned for truth and justice." My heart leaps with joy to know of an honorable men like this Pastor. You are factually 100% correct re the history of the Democratic Party and its duplicitous actions. Abraham Lincoln was a Republican. The Democrats got lost in liberalism, phoniness, socialism, and absolute racism and deception. It has come to a horrible conclusion in our country as the Democratic Party has actually committed treason in order to win an election by threats, playing the "race-card", sedition in installing an ineligible criminal into the WH because of his perceived color, rather than his character. In 2004, Ambassador Alan Keyes ran against BHO for Senator in Chicago. At that time, he warned America that BHO was a man "of seared conscience". Alan Keyes happens to be black and would have made a great President, as a man of good character, but as an American and Christian would not have served the Dems' purpose of foisting socialism on us and the destruction of our sovereignty and Judeo-Christian roots. George Soros' gambit paid off for the Dems, but has cost us dearly. Parenthetically, as an educator over the past 40 years, I have watched those in the public school system charged with "educating" our children instead indoctrinate them from Kindergarten forward to love Democrats and hate Republicans. This is because they and their unions exchange money with Dems for favor and power. This is not to say the Republican party is so great; far from it, but history proves it was they who truly supported civil rights and Dems were racist in thought and policy.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention as I had not yet heard about it. Though I am not surprised. If you listen to most of the Dems long enough, you begin to loose faith in them and realize they are for money, corporations, and their own agendas instead of the common man (or woman as the case may be) that keeps our nation functioning. I will have to put some more research into this one for sure.

I have heard things like this in the past year. In fact, our history has been distorted so much that our children are not taught the vital roles that black people played in freeing America from the oppressive yoke of the King of England back in the Revolutionary Way. They don't learn about the many products invented by blacks or the social programs they started in the past to try to free people from poverty. They also don't learn the truth about Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood--her intention was to wipe out minorities. We need this knowledge to be in our history books so our children will know the truth. Fat chance, I know, but I and others like me will spread the word whenever possible.

I agree about hyphenated Americans--it serves to divide us instead of uniting us. We think a lot alike. I'm glad that education is seeking to include everyone, not just the white settlers and colonists. The method, as you said, is not a good one but then we are being intentionally divided these days when we should be working together.

Interesting you should mention Margaret Sanger. She founded Planned Parenthood as a way to practice Eugenics. She was a big proponent of the science of purifying the human race by limiting who could reproduce and who should be sterilized. She is a hero to many democrats today, especially ones calling themselves "progressives" like Hillary Clinton, who idolizes Sanger. Minorities and the poor tend to think that the democrat party has their best interest at heart when in reality, just the opposite is true.

dragon, I sell supplemental educational products purchased by a lot of public schools. There are many of them devoted to prominent African Americans and their accomplishments. The liberals in education are, in fact, making a special effort to find prominent members of every minority group to feature in these materials. Diversity is the big buzz word, and the other is mulit-cultural. As far back as my own childhood before all this was fashionable, I was learning about George Washingon Carver. What bugs me is that these people must have hyphenated nationalites. They can't just be Americans, but they must be Hispanic-Americans, African-Americans, Native-Americans, etc., whereas I am not considered a Scotch-Irish Amercan. I'm all for teaching about the contributions of all Americans, no matter what the race or origin, but I'm against the quota system whereby we pick out a cultural background first and then see how many people of that culture we can call prominent or influential to be role models for our young. I'm too tired to carry this any further tonight. Eyelids are drooping and I must go to bed.
