Spelling of name is important.

Spelling of name is important for those who believe in numerology. Simple modification of spelling in ones name can make him/her lucky. This is so because the connection between names and numbers is a scientifically established fact. Some numbers are indeed lucky for some people. Name of a person has a major effect on nature and destiny. The name correction is done to get the maximum possible out of destiny and lead a happy problem-free life. As I have said earlier each alphabet has a number associated with it, and the greater the harmony between your name numbers with you, the more positive vibrations your name will send each time when someone thinks or speaks your name. Removal of negativities from a name is done by getting the name spelling corrected. The sum total of your name denotes whether that number is favorable or not to you. Depending upon one’s profession, or the aspect of one’s life, a small spelling change can bring about a big difference. The name change is done by either adding or subtracting a letter, or alternatively, using or removing the middle name, etc. It is known that, many people, companies, and celebrities have changed spelling of their names based upon Numerology. For example, our Indian celebrities like Ajay Devgn (earlier Ajay Devgan), Ekta Kapoor (she names all the TV serials starting with K), Suniel Shetty (earlier Sunil Shetty), Anu Mallik (earlier Anu Malik), have done this for a successful career. Not only this is true for persons but for companies, a lucky business name will ensure good business and growth. I manage my astrology business under the name ‘Kalyane Astro Centre’ now, but earlier it was ‘Kalyani Astro Centre’. My granddaughter was renamed as Umaa Jyothay Saraf, it was Umajyoti Saraf. Do you believe in Numerology and name changes based upon it? Please share your views and comment on this. Please make responses clean, we are not here to fight, though our opinions may differ. Thanks in advance. Professor ‘Bhuwan’. . Please share your views and comment on this. Thanks in advance. Professor ‘Bhuwan’. . 09/10/2011

I agree and I become upset with parents who want a new and interesting way of spelling the name of their newborn child, making the poor child have to correct, either the pronunciation, or spelling, for the rest of their lives. I kept the name of both of my kids, simple and easy, so they would not have this issue. No one ever pronounced their names wrong, or had trouble spelling them. I am also, very particular, in spelling and pronouncing people's names, correctly, because I know that it is important to them.

It can be very irritating going through life with every person you meet asking you how to spell your name. All my names have variations and I always have to spell them out, even though they are actually quite common names!

This site gives you a free mini-reading: www.numerologist.com I found it quite fascinating to see what the reader came up with. I must add it was fairly accurate.

There is no scientific basis whatsoever to 'numerology' and the claims it makes of being able to predict a person's life style, abilities and "luck". It is quite ridiculous to assume that making a change of one letter in a name will have any effect at all on a person's character, outlook on life or success or otherwise. The way one spells one's name depends on which alphabet or writing system one uses, since every alphabet system only exists to give an approximation of the sounds we use. You only have to realise that people are and have been the same, whether they write in one particular script or another. Your name will SOUND the same regardless of whether you write it in Roman letters, Devanagari, Greek, Arabic or Hebrew, yet assigning numbers to letters of the alphabet may produce a totally different result in each writing system. The reason why such systems remain popular is due to a natural human propensity to seek patterns and signs in life and to assign supposed meanings to those patterns which will reinforce their belief that any choice of action they make is appropriate or not for that moment. In fact, our minds are very complex processors with a tendency to find patterns where there are none. A very good instance of this is the way in which people all over the world have grouped together certain quite random arrangements of the stars as specific figures in the night sky. Another, related, way in which we use this pattern-forming ability of the mind is in processing the hundreds of pieces of information which we receive through our senses every second. Our brains use a complex system of filters which allow us to ignore much of the information we receive and give our conscious attention only to information which is relevant to our current situation - information which fits a pre-conceived "pattern". This is why a person whose concentration is engaged with a particular task may be completely unaware of other things happening around them. It is not that they literally did not hear the phone or what someone said, it is simply that their brain was operating in a particular mode which rejected and ignored information outside of the parameters in which it was working at the time. The so-called element of "luck" is actually a function of this ability to filter and create significant patterns. No person is inherently more lucky than any other. It is true that a person may be 'in the right place at the right time' but, in general, it is those people who have trained their minds in a particular way to be aware of certain things which may indicate an advantage and, moreover, have trained themselves to act quickly and reliably upon that information who are the people whom others tend to call "lucky". In fact, those people who believe that they are "lucky" will actually tend to BE 'lucky' and those who think that good fortune never comes their way will be those who appear to be always 'unlucky'. This is the area of life where such pseudo-sciences as numerology and astrology tend to become very powerful. They do not, in fact, predict anything real at all except to convince someone that they will be lucky or unlucky or will behave in a particular way. And, because the person is convinced of the truth of the prediction, it actually appears to come true. Numerology and astrology (and many other related disciplines) have no real meaning whatsoever. People use them, however, as a tool to direct the mind in a particular way. Unfortunately, the patterning of the mind that they create is not always to a person's advantage and, by being persuaded to belive in the results of such systems, a person may, in fact, become a slave to something which is materially destructive to their life! There are many far better and more logical ways of using these aspects of the human mind. Such methods are described in many books and systems of which the popular book and film "The Secret" is just one.

I do find numerology interesting but to be honest I never found out how exactly works. I did read info about it but the opinions how to count are different. My biggest question is: what is my name? The one people call me at (which is not my official first name) or my middle name (also not the name people call me at) or the 3rd name (the one people call me at? Or my familyname? Do I have to spell/count all of them together? Perhaps I can change the spelling of my name in normal life but for law is a different thing. I also always feel very uncomfortable/unhappy if anyone calls me at my first name (they do that if I buy a ticket on a plane, at the examn if I get my diplom, they will if I marry in law. That name is not me :-( I would like to hear more about this subject. Thanks for sharing.
