Do you make yourself small goals to keep? I do to ensure I do some things and sometimes it can be fun just ot see if you can reach that goal. One of my small goals for December is to change my earings everyday. Why? I had my ears re pieced last year, was very good and brought lots of lovely new ear rings and changed them every day, my daughter would choose for me the night before which ones I should wear, it came to my notice the other day that it has been about three weeks since I last changed my ear rings which is a shame as I have some lovley ear rings. This has been down to can't be bothered and can't make the effort, so have decided to make it a very small goal in my life for December. I do make larger and more important goals in life, but sometimes its good to make small fun goals. Do you make small goals like this just ot brighten up the day?

My goal is to every other day work on a weaving. Can't do it every day since it burns out my wrists, but every other day, I can do it. So yes, I do make some small goals every day to do something concerning my Christmas presents or they won't get done!

So far, so good. Gave one away early. One of my brothers goes to Florida for X-mas, so I try to give him his gift on Thanksgiving. He loved it. One down, 3 more brothers, a sister-n-law and a husband to go!

Sometimes at work I create small goals. This is because the only way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time. Sometimes the total work load is too much. I need to set more goals at home as well.

I've made a goal for staying on a liquid diet for this week to help to clear the sodium out of my body. I may extend my goal to go on further.. but I just want to reach the one week goal for now.

Perhaps you do over reach, start small and then work up towards to a bigger goal. If you set a really low goal and then see if you can beat that goal, that way you can achive your goal and feel really good with yourself What sort of activites do you set goals for? Can you share with us? Please

Hi Anne, Why is it that I so very much like your discussions? Haha ^_^ Small goals, wow. I like the thought of those. It makes life easier don't you think? ;) Small goals are actually more realistic than the big goals in life. Sometimes, to reach the big goals, we even have to cut them into smaller pieces just to make them happen. I do have a to-do list every month. I think they are considered small goals. Like for example, this month of November, one of my to-do list is to open up a UnionBank debit card. I already did that! See, it is so much easier to accomplish if the goals are small. My goal for the month of December? Hmm.. I will have no lates and absences from work. That is my December overall goal :)

I don't know why you like my discusions so much, they are no different from anyone elses's but pleased that you look forward to my discussions. Yes I agree it is easier to go by small goals... so why do I set important goals far too big and can't achive them

Well keep it up, it will get so much easier if you do it every day. If you think 200 is too much then lower your goal and either build it up to 200 or see how far you can get past your goal

I also make small goals. I think it's a very simple method to improve your self-esteem: just to show yourself that you can do these small things, that you can keep your word to yourself. For instance, I have to finish reading a book by the end of the week, or i have to write a short story by the end of February.

Good that you make small goals, it does make you feel good as well, just to make sure you do these little things for one's else Hope you finish your book by the end of the week. What short story are you working on that needs to be finished by Feb? Are you able to share with us. I should make some more small goals as I have lots of things that I haven't done this year that I was going ot do.

I try to accomplish as many goals as I set for myself. Sometimes, it can be tough to accomplish the goals that I want to accomplish, some of them I do accomplish, but others it takes awhile, or I never get around to it.

I think making small goals is a good way to make progress in long run. Well, so many of us often make some big goals at the beginning of the year, or one's life period, then forget them, or just give up them as time goes on. Because the goals are hard to reach. Compared to big goals, small goals are more practical and easier to reach. Therefore, the chances of fulfill the small goals are much big. If we divide our big goals into small ones, and get them done one by one, then our big goals will be reached in the end.

My small goal related to earrings is to remember to take them out before going to sleep. I don't like them on the pillow as I have tiny ears and the sometimes the earrings make them sore from sleeping on them. It is necessary to wear them every now and then, though, so that the holes do not grow back together. I lost my favorite earrings on a trip last summer and still have not found them. They were rectangular amethysts set in gold.

I work the night shift in a metal-working shop. My goal for the day is usually just to get through my shift and get into bed so I can get some rest and go back to work the next night. This is about all I have time for each day. As long as I can make this happen, I feel pretty good about things each day. I have some larger goals that I am working towards, but that is about it.

I am going to work on several aspects of my life. I am working on my Personal Well-Being. I want to be healthier, look & feel better about myself and most importantly work on my Spiritual self. These are fairly large goals but I am breaking them down daily. Where as you change your earrings daily, I need to just even get up and put mine in. I hope you succeed!

I do make goals. Some are small some are big. My current goal is to move the stuff in the basement back up to the attic. In May I had to move all of it downstairs so the attic could be insulated which wasn't until the end of August! So I am taking my time to move it back up stairs. I didn't go through everything when I first moved the stuff! So now I am with the stuff I didn't! Getting rid of some stuff and trying not to have so many containers to move as before! I hope to get it done by the end of December. After that,I have not decided yet!

Actually, I do like to do goals, even if they are small like you say, I especially like the celebrations/happy feeling we get after we complete them. Like for example on of my goals which I try to do weekly is pertaining my school work. I try to complete everything by Friday evening so that I have the weekend to family and dedicate that little time to them. But for the last two weekends it has gotten a bit difficult since the workload has been increasing and I noticed that I have been slacking off, so this week I promised myself to try and push myself a bit harder to try and start meeting my deadlines/goals. I promised myself that if I finished everything by Friday evening I would treat myself to some Krispy Kreme Doughnuts on Saturday morning, so now my husband is making sure I meet my goal as well. LOL!!!

Yes, I always set small goals for myself. I have a list that I want to get done each day and then I keep a weekly list too. I set some goals for all of my sites online and how much money I want to earn each day. I think that I set too many of them at times to meet them.

As long as you meet all your goals it doesn't matter how many you make, just keep them small so you don't get upset and not do them. I think that I am going ot have a small goal meeting next year and that way I shall get everything done!!!!!! In theroy!!

Yes I do I make all kind of goals. The small goals i make can be very helpul, one of them is to come a little earier to work everyday. Another one is to stay a little later everyday. Just those two alone will help very much with the bills. Small goals like this help alot and will keep me more organised.

I try to make a small goal to go out and have lunch once a week just to get me out of the house. My other main goal is to make sure I work on my cross stitch projects. I enjoy working on them and really hate when my health or other things I have to do keeps me from stitching even for just an hour or so.

Out to lunch once a week, now that sounds like a very good goal. Hope the cross stitch is going ok and hope your health keeps ok to work on them when you aim to

I do too, for example to work here in mylot I make a goal everyday which I try to reach everyday, like doing certain quantity of tasks, or responding certain quantity of discussions. I make goals for my family too, I propose myself to workout for at least 30 minutes,or clean an specific part of the house. I think living the life with purpose is the best thing we can, so when we get up everyday we feel the compromist of get up to accomplish our goals.

I also make mylot goals, firstly ot make payout every month, fingers crossed I will this month, although it will be very tight on time. I got lazy because I started the month so well and now I need to work a bit harder. I'm saving all my lot money fro a rainy day, but if I fail I can aim for $25 next month!!!

Some days I have small goals mostly if I have a lot to do and I don't like the stress. Then I tell myself to do 2-3 of the tasks I have to do. Also the small fun goals you talk about I recognize. They are important especially at busy times. It's a way to relax a bit. Big goals for the future or so I don't have.

Of course I make small goals! I make small goals on a daily basis in order to one day achieve bigger goals and so far its seemed to help increase my online earnings! Like for instance, I'll try to set a minimum number of myLot posts I want to achieve in a day in order to receive closer to my estimated earnings so that I may accomplish payout by the end of this month! As a result of me succeeding in accomplishing my past few daily goals, I will more than likely be cashing out at the end of this month and it makes me feel satisfied and excited to see my hard work and time transform into tender! Setting small goals is the foundation for accomplishing bigger goals and if you can align your goals as stepping stones, you can one day reach the top (which is the accomplishment of a bigger goal)!
