High School marching bands are quite common in the US. They ar much more of a rarity in Canada. Locally we Yale a youth community marching band, the Burlington Teen Tour Band.
This is the oldest teen marching band in Canada....

Earlier this summer, my daughter posted a photograph of my grandson on Facebook.
I was a little confused.....his band uniform was the wrong colour and the drum had a different mascot/logo.

The Beaver Dam High School marching band. There was some rumors, since this parade was celebrating the city's history, the band would consist of some alumni as well as current students. However, I don't think that happened.
