The last pork loin chops I cooked were dry and tough. Not sure what I did wrong. I am marinating some today.
I will make a sauce with peppers and pineapples and serve the pork with rice.
I am, in fact, cooking up rice to portion...

Had some fried chicken for dinner earlier. I actually prefer the thigh or breast part but some reason I got a bag of legs since these were on sale. Marinated the chicken in soy sauce and lemon. Not a good idea as the chicken...

So, I've been trying to be a helpful roommate and getting stuff started, or at least assembled, for dinner.
However, when I looked at the recipe for what we had planned for dinner, it said to marinade for 12 or more hours......

What is this plant? I know what I was told, but I'm doubting what they said.

Today I marinated chicken in lemonade! I used a frozen lemonade concentrate and added 2 cups of water instead of 3, and marinaded the chicken for a few hours. Then I baked it in the oven. The result is very interesting. Not as...

Everybody was so helpful with my last question, I thought I'd try another problem I have. Round steak. I've made jerky with it. But is there anything else I can do to make it taste even vaguely edible? I've marinated it in bbq...

Do you marinade your steak? If so, what do you marinade with? I use Italian dressing, and soy sauce. If not, what do you do to your steak before cooking?
I prefer grilling but will pan fry in cast iron. What is your method?

I don't marinade my chicken very often, but I have been thinking about starting to. I am not sure what kind of marinade to use and how long to marinate if for. What are your favorite marinades for chicken? How long do you let it...

I remember seeing on a cooking show, a chef telling someone that it's impossible to cook a skirt steak rare and making it tender. Admittedly, skirt steak can be quite tough if it's not prepared properly, but I can't imagine a...
