I read this endearing article online and thought I would like to share.
The article says they have been writing to each other since 1938. Wow. Both they, and the world has changed a lot since then. What a nice thing to have...

Hello, all! It's 5:13 a.m. by my computer clock, and I'm having breakfast and coffee.
Today's the last day of the work week for me, so after this I'll start the weekend.
I don't know what I'll be able to get done when I get...

I would like to get the dirt that I bought and that my brother brought over the other day out of the boxes at the very least, if not put into the planter boxes I was given....

I need to get a treat for Angel so that she will get off of my bed and I can get in it.
Today's "project" was "Pen Pal (related)" so I finished a letter to one of my pen pals and hopefully will be able to send it this week.
I...

Someone asked me from one of the pen pal groups I belong to on FB if I had any Friendship books. I did, and had some to make as well, so I'm sending the lady a bunch today.
Friendship books are papers stapled together,...

I just recently became acquainted with Label bags. I had heard of them before, but finally asked in one of the Facebook pen pal groups that I belong to what exactly they were/how they worked.
Label bags can be made by actually...

This morning I got some friendship books and label bags ready to go to a gal on a Pen Pal themed (really Friendship Book themed) group I belong to on Facebook.
Friendship books are little books usually made from paper--sometimes...

I got done packaging these this afternoon. They are both letters with "goodies" in them for new pen pals.
Hopefully I can keep my letters and who I've sent them to straight--I have decided to use one of my blank journals to...

I went over to Facebook this afternoon and re-introduced myself on a couple of pen pal sites that I belong to.
Soon after I got several responses, most of whom I had to request that they write first, since I already had three...

Does anyone still write real letters to pen-pals?
For a long time in the 90s I wrote several people. Over time they all stopped answering my letters, and now I don't have any pen-pals left.
I found most of my pen-pals through...

When I was growing up, I had a lot of pen pals all over the US and a few in other countries. I loved it! I got beautiful letters in the mail and learned a lot about our country and our planet. And I grew very close to the...

I realize that we are not all in the same time zone, so you may be beginning your day, or be in the middle of your day, or ending your day.
It’s interesting to be able to communicate with others in another area that could be on...

My son is very nervous of strangers. I never taught him to be that way. Cautious yes but not as nervous as he is! If a stranger talks to him he usually won't answer them even when I am with him and tell him it is okay to respond....

Do you have pen pals, if so what are the circumstances of boundaries? Like a different state, country, prison or situations that make an interesting story.
