Well, it begins. So far this year we've had a fair amount of good luck keeping the pool in running order and the water a pristine blue. Granted, in the beginning of the season I did have to replace some hoses that had dry rotted....

The photo is of a kitchenette that was in the Chittering/Bindoon Museum but doesn’t have much connection to the following, just that it was in the same building.
There were several rooms devoted to World War I and II. One map...

While travelling, we took a ten kms detour out to some old sheep yards. It was a gravel road and quite rough but that’s okay.
We were heading for an area of land at Mt Marshall that was taken up by Edward Pergande around 1910....

I guess my Temu order is coming in pieces. That's okay, that means I'll have good mail coming for a while.
This part of my order was some shaped paperclips (in this case, shaped like crosses) to send in envelopes to folks in the...

My sister’s three kids are homeschooled, but that’s not a big deal because before my sister was married she was a teacher (high school). She teaches every subject, including Spanish (Hudson can now count to 20 in Spanish), but she...

This is an Instagram post by a teacher and I'm absolutely dying with laughter. "If you see a teacher out in the wild living their best life you have exactly 3 options: smile, salute, or aggressively mind your own business."...

BarBaraPrz I like that kitchenette. Cutlery was held in the 'top' drawer and utensils in the other, and there'd be a big tub of ice in the bottom section to keep things cool... Cheese, butter, eggs would be kept behind the short door and milk on the bottom next to the...

Another feel-good Western Australian story involves a lady from Esperance where we once lived.
Sandie Gillard has been caring for wildlife for over 70 years but in a freak accident in 2020, she fell from a two-storey balcony,...

There are people who have to know everything. If there is a secret, they feel the need to know it. Sometimes they try to disguise it with concern, when all they really are is nosy. Would it kill them to be unaware of just one...

BarBaraPrz I have a friend who constantly tells me about other people she knows, I don't really know other than she's mentioned them before, and she prefaces her comment with, "This is just between you and me." Yeah, ok, and all the other people you've told...

We’re travelling and I haven’t had internet for a few days. We’ll probably be away another two days so I won’t be posting much. But I thought I’d share another funny sign with us.
We didn’t plan our stops but just thought we’d...

We have a bakery closeby. Their brown bread is nice and we get it often The only problem is that the slices have holes and that makes applying anything on them for it to leak out - obviusly a nuisance
I have brought it to the...

I just made some toast... both slices I pulled out of the bag had big air holes in the middle. I'd show them to you but I've already eaten them.
