Nope. This isn't about that.
I went to the Centre yesterday, then Juanita came down about 3pm and took me grocery shopping. After bringing me home to put my stuff in the freezer, she asked...

I was checking out what all you had to say for yourselves here and read that Heather (@GardenGerty) didn't sleep well last night and was considering taking a nap. I thought that was a great idea, so took myself off to bed about...

I had my second eyeball checkup this morning at 8:30... Everything seems to be coming along just fine. That's not the disappointment.
But because Juanita is used to traffic congestion in Hamilton, we left here at 7:30. But there...

Trump's true legacy? No more babies named 'Donald'. At least, that's the opinion of Vinay Menon, the Toronto Star’s pop culture columnist .
"The U.S. president has now covered his own name with green...

Do you wash your raw chicken before cooking it?
Apparently, this is a no-no, as it can contaminate other foods by splash-back in the sink.
Personally, I've never washed chicken, and can't remember my mother ever doing...

Today is the day I had cataract surgery on my left eye.
Anticipation may have been used to sell ketchup, but I guess it's what kept me from having a good sleep last night.
Nothing to eat or drink after midnight, check in at the...

A gunman was " was shot in the melee".
Can anyone tell me what part of the body can the melee be found?
Maybe it's too early in the morning to be reading poorly written news reports.

I bought this book mainly for the title. It is purportedly written by Rebecca M. Hale, but I'm sure Mr Roget and his thesaurus had a lot to do with it... Why use one adjective when you can throw in two or three?
This is...

I was going over all the instructions I was given for my cataract surgery and came across this post-op gem: "Remove your shield temporarily after surgery to put in the drops."
Just how else am I to put in 3 different drops, 2 of...

A fine feathered family, on my way to the Centre this morning... Mr & Mrs C. Goose, and their little ryan... I mean, gosling. They were standing on the sidewalk along where the old hospital once was.
The 25 acre (I think) site...

Way back when, I signed on to the Canadian Packaged Bread Class Action (price fixing).
And when I signed on to my email this morning, I saw that I got a notice from them. My share of the settlement: $49.11 Canadian. Not bad, as I...

And why did that song about her eyes keep running through my head while I was trying to do some gardening today?
The day started out sunny, so I put on my shorts and a sweat shirt and went out to the backyard. But the breeze was...

I don't drive, so I don't kow if it's true or not...
Does driving on snow tires in the summer use more gas than driving on summer tires in the summer? I do know that the snow tires make more noise when there's no snow (or maybe...

So, I told you that I lost my keys... I had a spare house key but not a spare for the shed.
So I went to Canadian Tire today and checked out padlocks.
There was quite a selection to choose from: big ones, little ones, ones with...

I've lost my keys!
All two of them.
I have a spare house key, but not one for the padlock on my shed.
Usually, I just have to say, "Keys, where are you?" and they show up in a few minutes, but not this time. I've looked and...

The oddest things run through my head upon waking... Today's head scratcher is:
"He has oilpans for hands."
Make of that what you will.
It's 4°C at 7:47 am, mostly sunny, and should get to 18°C today. I'll take it.

We had 3 days in a row of 20°C, then 17°C, followed by another 20°C day, then yesterday it cooled down to 7°C and the furnace kicked in a few times, but today! It was 0°C when I got up at 7am. I saw some ice in a flower pot that...

I went to the Centre today, battling a strong headwind (50 km/hr), praying that the forecast rain didn't come until after I got inside there. Only a few drops at the end. Thank you.
Coming home, it was sunny and warm (20°C). I...
