I was putting out freeze-dried chicken treats for the Cat Crew (thanks @Ambiepam ). Adso and Claire came running but Charlie was nowhere to be found. I called and called him. I searched around all of his favorite hidey holes but I...

It is 2 AM. I hear Kitty growling. and also hear someone munching merrily away on something crunchy. Sighing, I turn on the light by bed and try to chase the raccoon out of the sliding glass door that I keep slightly open for...

It was 100F here today which made it way to hot to do anything or go any place. I am glad no one wanted us to take them anywhere. Nor did we want to go anywhere.
It is now down to 76F and I went outside in the dark to water....

We watched an amazing two-part documentary showing the rescue of a 66-year-old Lithuanian white-water rafter, Valdas Bieliauskas, who slipped on a rock while negotiating the Franklin River in Tasmania. Valdas was travelling with a...

Hello everyone. I hope your day is off to a good start. It is 74 degrees F and cloudy here at the Jersey Shore. The high for today is 81.
I slept until about 7:30am and then kind of drifted in and out of sleep for another hour....

I was changing the sheets and Bruno laid on them and would not get up, so they did not get spread...

My sister’s three kids are homeschooled, but that’s not a big deal because before my sister was married she was a teacher (high school). She teaches every subject, including Spanish (Hudson can now count to 20 in Spanish), but she...

I guess my Temu order is coming in pieces. That's okay, that means I'll have good mail coming for a while.
This part of my order was some shaped paperclips (in this case, shaped like crosses) to send in envelopes to folks in the...

The photo is of a kitchenette that was in the Chittering/Bindoon Museum but doesn’t have much connection to the following, just that it was in the same building.
There were several rooms devoted to World War I and II. One map...

BarBaraPrz I like that kitchenette. Cutlery was held in the 'top' drawer and utensils in the other, and there'd be a big tub of ice in the bottom section to keep things cool... Cheese, butter, eggs would be kept behind the short door and milk on the bottom next to the...

While travelling, we took a ten kms detour out to some old sheep yards. It was a gravel road and quite rough but that’s okay.
We were heading for an area of land at Mt Marshall that was taken up by Edward Pergande around 1910....

Well, it begins. So far this year we've had a fair amount of good luck keeping the pool in running order and the water a pristine blue. Granted, in the beginning of the season I did have to replace some hoses that had dry rotted....
