Thanks, Delta, for my free faucet!

When we bought this house 2 1/2 years ago it was just 2 years old. It needed few changes or updates except for the kitchen. We had the cheap laminate counters replaced with granite, changed out the electric cook-top for a gas cook-top, had a granite sink installed and a Delta faucet to replace the ugly cheap one that was here. The last few days I noticed that when I moved the faucet from one sink to the other it made a 'screeching' sound, but not every time. By yesterday evening each time I moved the faucet it screeched. My husband said the "O" ring inside the faucet was bad and that he could not fix it. Delta products are under warranty and I have had experience with that over the years. I called Delta and gave the man all the information on exactly what was going on. He said that Delta would replace the faucet. It will be going out today. As per the Delta website, that faucet is just shy of $300. I bought mine through Faucets Direct.com and their price is a little lower than that. Either way, Delta is replacing it and it won't cost me a dime. My husband will install the new one. It pays to buy from a reputable company, especially one that offers a great warranty. Photo is mine of the current faucet.

It's nice to hear that Delta stands behind their products. It's doubly nice that they are replacing your faucet for free and your husband can install the new one

@Marcyaz If I had to pay a plumber I wouldn't be quite so happy!

If the faucet (or whatever) can be fixed using parts then they send parts, but if the item needs to be replaced they replace it. My husband's uncle was a plumber and he taught him a lot so he is my plumber and works cheap!

Your post put me in a slightly good mood. It's good to hear that there are still companies that stand behind their products.

Thanks, if this was a $30 faucet I would not think much about it breaking or buying a new one, but when you pay a lot of money you hope it lasts a while.

@AbbyGreenhill Surely not. I prefer to spend more for some items, but to be sure that I can count on a great customer support and free replacement.

If you buy a $30 one at Walmart you don't get lifetime warranty LOL!

More should replace these faulty items they sell to us. We had to replace a Kohler faucet (free)-they sure don't make things like they once did!

Unfortunately they don't make them like they used to. If they did they would save themselves money by not having to replace any. But of the 3 kitchen faucets in three homes this is the first one we needed replacing.
