I see it again...multiple accounts in myLot

There are people that think they can start multiple accounts, and use them to inflate the responses/comments they receive.
Of course, I am not naming names, but there is one person with at least 5 'dummy' accounts doing it.
When you line the dummy accounts up and look, it's very plain that they are the same person.
I'd be willing to bet that all 6 accounts will soon be gone.
Bye-bye
I see you

I'm so bad at spotting stuff like this
If it was pointed out to me then I'd think it was obvious, but I never notice it of my own accord. I wish you could tell me who it is. I'm very nosey

@JolietJake It's even more obvious than I expected! I think I saw a few instances of them not being sure which account they're supposed to be posting from

@yukimori We do not earn a lot here, and it seems ridiculous to use different accounts to earn a few dollars more
.
I also think that the main difficulty comes on payday
. The best way to limit this kind of behavior would be to pay only to verified PayPal accounts : it is easy to open several PayPal accounts, but more difficult to get them verified.

I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often than it does, considering that we're paid based on interactions now.
myLot has never really cared about multiple accounts using the same IP addresses, and it's actually a bit easier to get away with them now as they're not collecting personal information like name and address anymore. Up until payday arrives, anyway... I imagine that someone would notice if multiple accounts' payments were being routed to the same person through PayPal.

What people will do to earn a few bucks. I am glad that you noticed it and they were reported. I never really thought of people doing such a thing but I guess there will always be those who think they are fooling everybody. Turns out they are not as smart as they think they are! Good catch!

@Happy2BeMe. They are doing it to earn a few pennies not even dollars.

It's the second one like that I have found, I can't remember if the first one had 4 or 5 accounts, I think it was 5.

@JolietJake they can use that time and effort to make followers who would do exactly the same thing

Since you get paid only for receiving activity from other people they used 5 accounts to interact to the first one.

It's rather easy to spot when you see, for example, IzbalJureen responding to JureenIzbal (not the actual names, but they were doing it like that, just switching part)

@JolietJake It feels kinda weird when you are the one responding to your own discussion

I'm sure there's plenty that I miss, but sometimes it is just too obvious (to me)

These people don't get it.
Spend the time posting discussions and responding/commenting to other people instead of cheating and they'd do way better.

The main account has already been 'taken out', the others should be soon

I guess the best thing anyone can do is report them. I haven't noticed it, but there is no doubt that there are probably a few cases of dummy accounts.

I don“t see those usually as I mostly interact with my friends. Do you have another account named Lamb, for instance?

Not any more.
I do all my interacting from the Most Recent Discussions list (other than my notifications) so I 'see' everyone pretty much.

I've caught it a few times. One user had three accounts, it was pretty easy to see since they started each discussion with all three accounts using the same line "This is my discussion about"...
