Good morning everyone! I'm up and on Mylot early this morning because I'm about to go get my 3 hour glucose test done.
My stomach is screaming at me already that I'm starving and I can't have my morning coffee either. =( I HATE fasting! And I hate needles-I have to have my blood drawn 4 times in one day! And I can't eat or drink until after the test is finished...
I will be so happy when this day is done and over with... I'm miserable already. Lol.
Anyone want to change places with me just for today?

I´m sorry. Leticia went for a glucose test 2 days ago and she had an extra problem so she fainted. Thank be given she was ay the hospital and they took care of her.
I´m going for a test the 20th with fastening. Leticia goes with me and we take small sandwichs and buy breakfast ther to have breakfast at the hospital afterwards.

@marguicha I hope I don't pass out. When I don't eat I usually get bad migraines from it. =(
I hate today.
I hope your test goes really fast when you have it done.
Especially when pregnant I hate not being able to eat. =(

@LovingMyBabies the migrants are probably your need for some caffeine. You'll have to get over your aversion to black coffee and have a small cup...I'll bet you don't get a headache.

@marlina Thank you.
I have always been a big baby when it comes to needles and fasting just makes it a little worse...

@Ladyduck Yeah the whole thing is horrible. I got the nasty drink down but now I have to get stuck 3 more times. I won't be eating or drinking for another 3 hours...

@LovingMyBabies That is the best part getting what you want once you are done. Enjoy whatever you have once you are done.

I hope that all went well with the tests. I know that nothing should stand in the way of a pregnant woman and her morning meal. Did you eat a good meal after the tests were complete?

Oh man I feel like I'm reading a horror novel right now. Can't eat and getting blood drawn!? Good luck. I hope somebody will treat you to a good meal later.

I don't remember any fasting bloodwork when I was pregnant. Many years ago when I had some undisclosed...as yet undiscovered ailment...they took 16 vials of blood. That was after taking a "cookie cutter" biopsy from the back of my hand and then a "cone" biopsy from my shin.....not a good day.
The tests and biopsies showed I was healthy....no explanation for the symptoms.....they decided it was an allergic reaction to something I had been exposed to.

@Morleyhunt Yeah I think it's something they have started doing in the last 15 years or so.
That sounds awful, sorry you went through all of that. I'm grateful I'm in good health because I have a really hard time with doctors.

@LovingMyBabies I'm rarely sick...hardly ever go to the doctor. That winter...it started with what I thought was a bug bite. A week later, l cause covered with lumps and bruises. Every part of me hurt. I could barely walk, or even raise my arms....I sat on the soda, wrapped in a blanket, a hot water bottle at my feet...another on my lap....and my teeth chattering from cold...
A six week course of prednisone...all the symptoms disappeared and never returned.
We refer to it as my mystery illness. That's the last time I was sick enough to go to the doctor...2001.
