Some days are VERY important! 
Every person has a VERY important day at least once a year too
We are not supposed to mention it here though so this discussion will not be about what we can't mention as I don't want to get anyone in trouble especially on this VERY important day
So I will just carry on as though nothing VERY important happens at all today and talk about something else... maybe the weather
It is going to be very cold here today and the sales start so I will not be going out to look for bargains on this VERY cold special day
Instead I will stay here.... but I will leave a song for a VERY special day
Are you going out on this VERY special day or is cold where you are too?

We have a VERY blue sky here too which is enticing but I know it will be freezing out there so the others can have the bargains this year

No no.
It is not my birthday yet, thank goodness, as I am not done with the holidays here! We have another one tomorrow but the shops will all be open because the sales start here today. I will not go out to the shops tomorrow either but I can at last take the decorations down. Yay!

The sales start here today and tomorrow is another holiday for Epiphany but my posts are not always about me. Often they are about other people who are a VERY important part of my world, though they might not be in Italy either

Well here's wishing @JolietJake a VERY , VERY you know what (as you said, we cannot discuss such things here 
).
I have pretty much missed out on the good stuff of after Christmas sales . . . it seems what's left on the shelves now are the holiday crumbs. But the kids and I may still go out on this VERY (to us) rainy and cold day!

Gosh! That was loud and even sent the cat flying off the sofa! 
I feel a party after listening to that
I think our sales are not like yours. Here it is the winter clothes (supposedly end of season even though today is the coldest day so far this winter) which are the main item reduced and not things pertaining to Christmas. They just seem to vanish from stores and reappear again next year. Ot os VERY strange that they are never reduced here after the festivities end 
I feel a party after listening to that

Here when I first arrived, Valentine's Day and Halloween were nowhere to be seen but now they have taken over too - though for totally wrong reasons 
people celebrate mostly because they see the stuff on sale with no idea of the origins of either celebration
Our next celebration (but only the schools have some days off) is for carnival and the shops will be full of stuff for that event now.

The wind was very strong yesterday evening here but today is calm with blue sky and brilliant sunshine but freezing cold. The sales will have to wait as I am not going out today bbbbbbbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! 2 people like this

I can't say today is a very important day,but at least an important day.Here,today is the eighth day of the twelfth lunar month when we eat the porridge that consisits of rice,beans,nuts, dried fruit,etc.

Those days when finally a special event, like a concert, are special days for me too. Also the first of every month as my pension arrives - and here in Italy with the problems we have, I always fear it might not arrive

It is funny that you write this...so many people write about their birthdays while the guidelines say otherwise...but nothing is ever done about it. So happy birthday to a few that I remember have birthdays today.

I don't know who you are wishing a very important day....I think I can guess.
My plan is a quick trip to the bank and grocery store. Then home for the remainder of the day. Maybe I'll stop at the wellness Center and walk the track for a mile or two while I'm in town. It's much too cold to walk outside this morning.

Yes it is too cold for a walk today here too and I didn't go out yesterday either. That is not good as I had promised myself that I would walk every day. I guess I will make up for it once it gets warmer again and walk for longer.
