Why do people assume I am the bad guy if I tell them something will get deleted?

I really don't understand the mentality behind it. It's not as though I am going to delete it. And I try to explain why it will get deleted. But 50% (or more) of the time people get mad at me about it. Heck, I didn't write the rules (well, not much of them anyway ), I just read them. And try to pass them on. At least there is that 50% (or less) of the people that do appreciate the heads up.

I think that the percentage of those who appreciate is less than 50%, but it's worth our effort to explain over and over again.

Why are you the bad guy? Because, to them, you are! Criminals and idiots always think that they are right and everyone else is wrong! You know what to do if you get a snarky reply!

Some people just don't want to hear it because they already knew deletion was a possibility, they just want to test the boundaries, dang fools. I never thought of you as the bad guy, just the blunt guy, I like blunt.

Clearly it's a personal attack and you're out to get them.

It usually is with people like that. Then they think that, because numerous discussions of theirs have been deleted, that they have been the victims of a reporting vendetta!

@owlwings Never mind that it doesn't necessarily mean it's been reported...

There's no logic in how people think. Best to stick to cats.

Cats can only see black and white (OK, and a few other colours). You're either a god (because you provide food and strokes) or a devil (because you are someone else besides them and therefore a potential threat to their egotistical world).

I don't quite get 'cat logic' either - "There are two bites gone from my food bowl, I shall starve if you don't refill it now!"

@JolietJake You can never have too much of a good thing - although I dispute that myself.

I'm bad, I'm nationwide...
Well I was rollin' down the road in some cold blue steel, I had a bluesman in the back, and a beautician at the wheel. We're going downtown in the middle of ...

I do not bother to tell people, I just report stuff. I have tried, in a friendly matter and been shut down. If they get mad at you they can deflect the blame in their own mind, at least.

People hate the bearer of bad news. These people do not know that you are doing them a favor.

I usually tell newbies aboutwrong things they are doing andwhy don´t they go to the rules first. I might not have noticed, but I am not aware of them thinking that I´m a bad gal. Anyway, I´m acostumed. Even my grandchildren think I´m a witch

I know so many times people do not want to hear the Truth about something unless they see it for themselves and can tell everyone about it. To me it makes no sense when someone gets mad but yet at the same time post something and expect everyone to Love it.

If this is for those members that they feel they can break the rules and post whatever they want. You are not the bad one, they are. Rules are there for a reason and we all need to heed them and follow them. I haven't been in this site for a couple years. just happened to find my links.. lol I see they are back to a earning site.. The only way to keep it that way is to F O L L O W the rules.. if not someone is going to report you. With that your discussion if it breaks the rules will be Deleted.. simple..

People is strange is all I can say. Cats are easier to deal with because you just expect them to ignore you and do their own thing.

Some people cant tolerate correction or criticism. They are maybe too sensitive. Or they think that they know better.
