Not mine of course, but my husbands. His boss told him to be prepared for the very near future, he will be extremely busy this upcoming week. (My husband works for a storm restoration company) Even though Irma hasn't hit here yet there have been trees knocked down and roofs need to be repaired already. On the news there was a story where a huge tree fell on an elderly couple's garage. They aren't there, they evacuated so they might not even know about it yet. =(

I hope that your husband will insist on working a regular amount of hours like 10 or 12 and nothing beyond that. He already has a low immune system, he needs his rest, and he isn't going to get overtime or a bonus for all of his hard work.

@LovingMyBabies Remember: if he gets shingles, he is no good to anyone for at least a week.

The entire area is going to need skilled tradespeople. Your husband will have all the work he would want or need. I am glad that there are repairs that can be made.

As bad as these storms are when they devastate our state, there is always a silver lining afterward. Tens of thousands of workers in Florida will be finding new work helping with cleanup efforts and rebuilding efforts. I see lots of overtime in a lot of people's future!

Happy the elderly couple was gone, and it was just their garage! I have family who are linemen, so they are gonna be busy. If GA doesn't keep them busy enough they will probably go down to florida to help.

It is unfortunate that this happen. But then, if these things didn't happen, your husband and many others would be out of work. It is a weird bitter and salty situation, since it sure isn't sweet.

@LovingMyBabies It is like doctors, without sick people, doctors would not have a job or cures could not be created. It is an odd, odd world.
