I love all kinds of cookies, and I enjoy seeing different recipes online. This year I copied one just especially for my husband. Jalapeno chocolate chip cookies. You heard me. They are fresh from the oven and warm in two ways. Both from the oven and the finely chopped fresh jalapeno peppers. The recipe is a basic chocolate chip cookie. It called on adding four jalapenos. My peppers were large, so I only let hubby put two in. The flavor is subtle and quite good. How do you like your peppers? Did you ever try them in cookies? I have one more jalapeno on hand. Tomorrow I will make whole berry cranberry sauce with jalapeno. It is good. I have done it before.

I love to cook but I admit I never thought of putting spicy stuff and make with that cookies :D I think it should have this interesting twist because of the chocolate flavor:) I add spicy peppers to soy chunks, to chickpeas and it come out delicious

I use chickpeas to make a dip or spread, hummus. I bet jalapeno would be good there.

Interesting. I have been watching some of the food shows on the Food Network lately. Funny how many of the cooks put pepper or jalapeno type heat in their recipes.

Peppers are full of nutrition, like Vitamin C, and they help with pain, but besides that they just taste good. In a sweet dish they are not too hot. Foods like chocolate chips that have a lot of fat help them not be too spicy.

@GardenGerty .......I know they are nutritional and, as with all things I know are good for me, I try to eat some.

Some people are sensitive to peppers. I do lots of different things with the old fashioned cooked whole berry sauce. The peppers make it a little different. I have put apples and cinnamon in it as well.

@LovingMyBabies there was a time when I did not, but I have grown to like them. @creativeaashish jalepenos are a type of hot pepper or chili that people like here in the US. It is not the most hot, but it is not mild. You might also refer to them where you live as a capsicum. They are used a lot in Mexican foods.

We usually have pickled jalapenos on hand all the time for garnishment. These needed fresh and were quite good. I am glad hubby made them today.

Vince put black pepper in his coffee the other day instead of cinnamon but rather than waste it he drank it. And he was surprised how nice it tasted.

Pepper is an activator in your body and helps you get the best of whatever you eat it with. I imagine my hubby would enjoy pepper in his coffee. Here some people of Mennonite or Amish background make a spice cookie that includes black pepper.

@JudyEv I keep a shaker on my table of equal parts turmeric, ginger, cumin and pepper. It adds a nice flavor and I think it helps with all the aches and pains.

@GardenGerty I know you need it if you're having turmeric but I didn't know it was an activator with other ingredients too. Thanks for the information. I might start trying to have more black pepper than I do. I rarely have it at all.

jalapeno peppers
You have not seen a jalapeno? I imagine you have seen other peppers. These are easy to grow. We used ours green.

People are putting veggies in lots of things. I have had chocolate cake made with beetroot, and I have read about chocolate pudding made with avocados. It is just not what we are used to, I guess.
