I have just finished completing my income tax. I use TurboTax. I have for a few years now. I find that they are a good system for me. They keep all of my information and save it for the following year. I like to get my taxes done and out of the way. That way I don't have to think about them again. We are getting a good refund this year and it is about time. They say it should take about 21 days to be deposited into our bank account. I can't wait. So, one more thing out of the way. Onward and up ward. Have you started your taxes yet?

I took a course years ago on taxes. I am the one who does them in our home. Turbo Tax is a great, easy site to use. I do like to get them over and done with.

No, I haven't started my taxes yet. But I probably will soon. We will probably wait another month or so, as we can only send them off at the end of February. That's when they start looking at them.

@HazySue ......Maybe you can take it out and put it somewhere else that would help you tax standing.

It is nice to get a refund. As long as I have my retirement in Money Market I will have to claim taxes.

I received the last form we were waiting for in the mail yesterday. I opened it up and finished doing the taxes. I had already filled out the parts that I could.

Ever since I goofed up our taxes and the IRS gave us heck, well, I've been a wimp. I pay somebody to do my taxes. Takes a huge load off me.

@HazySue I thought ours was an easy job, too, then I guess I put in one too many zeroes and hello IRS! They listened to Taxes Lady but not me.

I would too. Ours are easy to do so I am still doing them. If I got heck from IRS I wouldn't be doing ours either.

Deadline of paying taxes here is usually in April and I have a bookkeeper to do that for me. I have never ever filed my own taxes before.

I found out last year when I was doing mine, I won't need to file any more, unless I have a regular income other than Social Security. Of course, when I start making my millions as an author, I'll be filing again, but I don't need to with Social Security, and I don't make enough with myLot to need to file. I'm glad you have yours out of the way. I usually filed early as well so I would get the early refund.

Glad you filed and it was easy. My mom used to do hers herself by the books and paper, until they made it online only or whatever like 2-3 years ago. Now she has h&r block do them and she got them done last friday

H&R Block is a great agency to use. I use Turbo Tax online. They save all of my information and make filing easy for me.

@HazySue H&RBlock saves it all too.. was so easy this time for her to do it as only has to do the w2s this time. I wish she knew how to do it herself online to save the money from them doing it, but its her choice.

I have to itemize deductions so I use a tax office. I used to file on my own but I find it to confusing now.

It is confusing when you have to itemize. I found that for us it is advisable to do the simpler form.

@HazySue I agree, maybe this new tax reform will allow me to do that.
