Have You Ever Thought What Attracts You To Respond On A Discussion About Leaving myLot?

Does it upset you someone is leaving? Or do you perhaps think "They'll be back eventually". Or maybe just not care? There have been a few that left (I won't name names) that I do miss at times. But normally if I see a discussion saying someone is leaving, I just think 'Oh well' and move along to the next one. People have reasons to leave...people have reasons to stay. I won't divulge my reason for staying, but like it or not, you're stuck with me.

I do not read a lot of them. Nobody "has to" belong to the site, its totally voluntary, so to leave shouldn't be so dramatic.

I normally won't bother with them. I might send a PM to them telling them how to find me and what my email is if they want it. but I avoid the discussion itself.

I worry more about those who just vanish anonymously, unheralded and/or unplanned. If someone plans on leaving and says so, I know I will not change their mind. It is the ones that go "poof" that disturb me. If someone posts and says they are leaving I likely will just wish them all the best.

If a person who started the discussion is someone who I have bantered with, I'll definitely chime in. If it was a member who I haven't really 'spoke' with, I'd just simply say 'Good luck and see you around'.

I missed a discussion started by a leaving member ? It depends who is leaving, if I am tempted to wish a good wind to somebody, I will refrain to respond. If it is a friendly member I will send a PM and ask for an email address. I have kept a few contacts with members having left since several years. An email times to times to ask some news does not hurt.

Some people say they are leaving but then they never do. I guess if a person doesn't know what to write about they can always write about them wanting to leave the site, or them thinking about leaving the site... And that sure to get a lot of interaction.

I myself use this site once in a while so I think this site has it own charm. I love it how nice and friendly everyone are here. It makes me feel relaxed and like I was in home. I think most of people should be at least able to feel how nice this community is and I kinda hope it will bring them back. My friend actually joined this site like 2 minutes ago after I told him about nice commynity where to talk with people. :P
