Did I Hear Right?

Whenever I hear a female say the word "subpoenas", to me it sounds like she said "some penis".
Every time I see a detective show on t.v. or in a movie and the female lawyer says something along the lines of,"I need to get subpoenas." I just start to chuckle uncontrollably.
Is it childish of me? You bet it is ! And yes its only when a female says it. It doesnt have the same sophmoric sense of humor when a male says "subpoenas". I may suffer from selective hearing but at least it puts me in a silly mood.
So people, have someone say "Subpoenas" once or very fast nonstop and see if it makes you giggle like a middle school child.
(This is just a "such a guy" type of silly post)

All naughty guys on myLot need to be here. @DaddyEvil, @TheHorse, @JolietJake, @pgntwo. I am not a guy, that is pretty gender biased statement, and I strongly object to our way of pronunciations being laughed at...how do I sue you Plethos.

A few weeks ago my three year old niece saw a DVD on a shop shelf. "Look, it's Paedo Masks!" said she. I asked her if she meant PJ Masks. Nope. Definitely Paedo Masks. Now I will never be able to see reference to it without thinking of Paedo Masks!!

@Plethos my fiance can't even say the word fart. A loud noise came on T.V. and he goes "hehe that was a loud flatulence".

The inner child awakens. Reminds me of a play on words from the movie "Airplane" which goes like this....Surely you are not serious about subpoenas? Yes I am, and don't call me "Shirley."

I know when my kids hear some words they "thought" they heard, they start busting up! Anything with "pee" in the word would do it
.
