Try to Outwit Doodles!

Happy Memorial Day to my American friends! My husband and I volunteered yesterday and this morning at our town hall to ready the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts for our annual parade. It was so much fun, and we felt great helping out. The parade brought tears to my eyes. I took Doodles out for a walk. That little stinker knows that chipmunks live in a drainpipe. He used to stick his face in the opening to wait for them to come out. They never did. However, he wised up and now lies in wait along the side of that drainpipe. I cracked up laughing at how his brain works. Tonight we are having a barbecue for our family. Happy day to you whatever you do!

@LadyDuck Doodles caught his 8th chipmunk on Friday, but let it go when I screamed. Then he caught a mole. Ugh!

Our pets are schemers and planners if you ask me and Preiti is no less. She is misbehaving these days. She picks up a piece of meat and puts it on the carpet and eats it there just so that I notice her and not ignore her. I am going to roll up the carpet today. I do not want her to make that as a habit.

He's one smart kitty. I'm glad you had a great time volunteering for the parade. Had I been able to go to one, I would have been a basket case when the flags came by. I am so proud to be an American!

He certainly can problem solve! The day was very long for me, because I did too much, but I always cry and get goosebumps when I see our flag and all that it stands for. I am so proud to be an American, too!!!!!

@just4him I can't begin to tell you how many chipmunks he's caught. We are avidly discouraging him now. All we want are mice or moles. He's trying his best.

@Hannihar He is quite huge. He's on a diet. He weighed in at 17 pounds and the doctor wants him at 14. Would you believe he was 21 pounds at one point?

Cat food with his medicine mixed in. He doesn't eat human food unless it's pudding, frosting, or ice cream, but he's on a diet.lol

Doodles never fail to make you laugh. It's really so nice to have pets. I don't have any though, because I don't like cleaning and taking care of them.

Doodles is a real character. Of course, he's not really my pet. He's my son's cat. All I do is walk and feed him. I do not do litter boxes.

We are the best nation on earth, no matter who our President is. It was awesome volunteering. Must do it again and soon! Drat! I just sat down to myLot and Doodles is sitting 9 inches from me asking to go out for the third time today!!!! See ya!
