The past few days I have been eating bad, went out once and them made a meal that is unusual here. Today I got back to vegetarian, well vegan actually. Tonight for dinner I cooked baby Lima beans for me and butter beans for Tony. Boiled cabbage loaded with black pepper. And freshly picked okra. It was soooooo good! what did you have?

@arunima25 Me too. In our family everybody eats non-veg. I don't see why we should if we don't relish it.

I will be eating drumstick curry...one of my favorites. Have you ever tasted it...we cut drumsticks into pieces ..2 .5 inches or so each, removing the skin as far as possible. Wash them well, chop onions, seasoning and add onions, when done then some ginger garlic paste, and then finely chopped tomatoes...wait till tomatoes are done, then drumsticks, add salt, chillie powder, lots of water, let it boil, finally garnish with corriander...tastes yummy with rice, tastes yummy with phulkas (flat bread).

We fried some fish (bass and bream) that we caught yesterday back at the pond. Had hushpuppies, stewed potatoes and sweet tea. I'm still full six hours later!

We made a sort of cauliflower pudding. Beaten eggs, cauliflower al dente, diced cheese and some parmesan on top. Delicious.

I am just coming off very naughty road food. Tonight we shared a yam, black beans and cous cous. My hips are going to be the size of a barn if I don't quit with the 'Americana' food.

Not something I would ever eat, but I'm glad you like it. Last night I had to opt for tuna salad - no bread, for something to eat in a hurry. I had a pound of hamburger thawing but took it out too late. Will make it today. My stomach was getting impatient with me for food.

@andriaperry Not usually, but I eat a large meal at breakfast that carries me through most of the day. There was only the one day when breakfast lasted all day. Very unusual day.

Vegan is no animal products at all, no butter, cheese or eggs, no fish. Vegetarian eats dairy and fish

I was planning to make a shake with fruits and veggies but I ended up getting lazy about it. I would probably settle for an apple for dinner.

You'll be pleased to be back to 'normal' again after having your visitors. Has the cat come back inside now that the raccoon has gone?

I do not like the large Lima`s, aka butter beans, but I do like the baby green Lima`s and the fordhook green Lima`s. Okra is an acquired taste, I would think people from the northern US would eat less than the south because of how long it takes to mature, being a gardener I plant in May and usually its July or later when its in full production, all the way till the first freeze in November.

Sounds good! I just had salmon head in miso soup with plain rice. Then for dessert, I had hanjuku cheese. I bought it at Kumori this afternoon. It’s not too sweet which is a plus for me. Take care, Andria!
