A New Box for The Dude

Brought home a couple of boxes to finish the donation items. My cats both love getting in empty boxes. Most cats do I believe.
Especially the Dude. Brendel got in, smelled around and then she was done. But the Dude is still in this one. Looking all around. Funny. I read awhile back that boxes make cats feel safe.
Not sure if that's true but I do know most love the get in and hide in boxes. So for now he has a new toy.

Cats do love empty boxes. Mine cat always ventured into one too, lol.

@CarolDM I have a carry crate open in the carport. My black barn cat has been staying in it the last couple of days. It is made of wood so she is well protected.

Some cats appear to like paper bags better than boxes. My big Sonny James-17.5 pounds- loves cardboard. He stretches on that cardboard and shreds it. He likes tunnel like boxes, too. He goes in there and shreds its cardboard floor.

Gosh, when we had the cats, it was amazing where we found them sometimes. Theus was actually sitting in a 5 quart dutch oven once we put in the spare bedroom that we put in there to donate. I don't know why in the hell he decided to go in there. But we could not find him spent some time looking for him, and found him literally sitting in the dutch oven.

How cute. Our cats are outside cats but when we toss a box outside they will be in it and enjoying it

We gave up buying expensive pet beds etc and now they sleep in cardboard boxes which they seem to prefer!

I used to love making a fort out of refrigerator boxes. I felt safe inside as well!
