It's Monday AGAIN

Happy Monday Everyone! it's a nice sunny summer day here in my little corner of the myLot world. The weekend was nice and the temperatures had dropped enough to enjoy being outside. Today it's going to get warm again.
The weekend flew by and it was fairly busy.
On Saturday my daughter and I took our coffee and went to the park. After a short walk we lingered on a bench while we drank our coffee and just enjoyed being outside and away from the house. There weren't very many people there but those that were all had masks and kept their distance if they came across other people. It's a crazy way we're living these days but it is what it is.
Yesterday my oldest daughter invited us over for dinner. My son in law manned the grill and made us all steaks and corn on the cob. Our corn is farm fresh now and it's delicious. Nothing is better than corn on the barbecue. We ate outside and it's the first time in probably 6 months that I've been to their house especially for dinner. It used to be a fairly frequent thing before Covid.
That was my exciting weekend and now we're back to Monday and the usual weekly routine.
But first.....coffee

this was the first time since Covid that we went there for dinner. It was nice enough to enjoy eating outside and of course seeing the family. My barbecue grill was thrown out last year with the idea that we would get a new one but with Covid there was no way I was going out shopping for one. Maybe next year. So having dinner grilled was delicious and I didn't have to cook

@Marilynda1225 My grill is ready, I have a big bag of charcoal in the garage. I would like to buy good steaks this Friday and grill on Saturday that is a holiday in Europe (Ferragosto - Assumption of Mary).

the weather was perfect and it was wonderful being able to get out and enjoy time with family. I've missed them since we've been in quarantine.

Corn on the cob is extra good when it's grilled or I like mine in the air fryer...oh so yummy!!

Happy Monday! We have been having butter corn at least 3 times a week from our local farms. So glad you are getting out of the house. Going to Cape Cod forced us to dine outside on restaurant patios several times, but we felt very safe since the people were placed far apart, the servers worn masks and fresh gloves, and the breeze blew away from us. lol

It was soooo nice to get out of the house for a change. I think I was starting to get depressed and didn't even realize it. Sitting in the yard and having a nice dinner was wonderful and of course seeing my two grandchildren was the icing on the cake.
I'm glad you enjoyed your dining out and that they're taking all the necessary precautions.
My grandson is going back to school (high school) and I'm leery now of him visiting once he's back in the classroom.

@Marilynda1225 We are in Phase 4 here and everything is opened up. Schools here will also open, but I'm playing it safe and not going out unnecessarily. Cape Cod was necessary, but I won't do it here. I don't trust anyone.
I understand your fears. After two weeks, you will know how safe it is.

That sounds like a delicious dinner and a great weekend. Other than go for walks, we didn't do much. I never really get bored though, I've always been able to entertain myself with my guitar, a book, paint by numbers, word puzzles and of course everything under the sun you can watch streaming and on TV. It will be nice to get out and about again, but I'm one of the lucky ones who doesn't HAVE to so no complaints.

Generally I'm content being at home (even before Covid) but I didn't realize how much I missed going out until I did over the weekend. Like you I'm lucky I don't have to go out either and I'm not complaining. I'm very blessed.

Weekend was horrible for us. The heat is up to 34 degree, super hot, sweating even when i sleep at night. Keep waking up wiping off sweats

As usual, I use the weekend to clean up my PC and prepare for another week and this weekend again flew by and not I have to buckle down and put in lots of writing job bids during the week.

I gotta have my cup of coffee in the morning. Ever since our Breville espresso machine started malfunctioning we switched to instant coffee for the time being. It is just not the same. I wanna start using our machine again. Gotta figure out what's going on with it and how it can be fixed.
