Its a Good Day To Have A Good Day

Happy Wednesday Everyone! We have a beautiful sun shiny day here today. It's the last day of this month and I'm going to say it again....time is flying by. I've just finished my second cup of coffee so my battery is charged and I'm ready for the day. I dont have anything planned but since my daughter isn't working today maybe we'll go for a ride or something. I'd really just like to get out of the house and have a change of scenery. I love riding around our countryside. Its peaceful no noisy traffic. We have the best of both worlds. Country roads and also the choice of highway driving where all the shopping is. I'm looking forward to the fall foliage but so far nothing has changed yet. When it does its absolutely beautiful around here. So, that's it from here. Nothing new Hope everyone is having a good day today

I mowed the lawn this afternoon and it was covered with leaves, but still green, they are falling before changing color.

@marlina I feel tired now, the mosquitoes have bitten me several times. I mowed, trimmed the borders, added mulch at the base of the trees and cleaned around before coming inside. I know that I will sleep well tonight.

We love to go for rides too, we always have. Today is a cloudy and rainy day here. I went thru some of the boxes from my mother's and instead of letting that sinking feeling of being overwelmed with 'her' stuff, I decided to make the most of it. I got out a cookbook, full of recipes of hers, and both of my grandmothers and I made a big batch of cookies. The smell of them baking took me to a happier time, allspice, cinnamon and spices like that took be back in time.

Please take a camera with you whenever you're out and about, those of us in deserts don't get to see the leaves turning color .... ok, they turn yellow then brown but not orange or red.

I was walking at the lake this afternoon with my 2 friends. The leaves of the trees are turning brown already. It was a beautiful day walking though it was cloudy and only 17°C.

I don't think we'll see good fall foliage here this year with all the rain after warmer temps. Not much color is showing and the rain is bringing the leaves down. Some areas have a little color but not as much as normal this time of year in thinking.
