At home with the goats

MyLotter Jim Bauer (@porwest) and his wife have a new kitten, Grayson. In his first photo of it (https://www.mylot.com/post/3413450/our-new-little-furry-addition), only a small portion can be seen as it is hiding between the washer and the drier. His next post regarding Grayson shows a very handsome feline looking much more at home. It reminded me of my sister’s little kitten which was very timid for a few days. My sister has now moved to live on a small property with her son. Kitty is thoroughly at home there and her latest trick is to sleep with the goat kids in their little houses. I guess maybe it's warmer there. I’ve asked my nephew for a photo of her sleeping with the goats which you can see here.

@GardenGerty There might be a heap of kids crammed in those kennels. It's like having dozens of people in a Volkswagen! You start counting and just when you think there can't be any more, another one or two come out.

The cat looks quite content sleeping with the goats. And I guess the goats don't seem to mind at all.

The goats were quite happy. Eight or ten kids squeeze into that kennel. They seem to like confined spaces and like to crowd in together.

@JudyEv Cats love warm spots, we have floor heating, the cats of my neighbors comes inside and stay on the floor purring happily.

@LadyDuck I am sure the cats are very pleased to feel the warmth underneath. Our little cat would jump up on the car when Vin arrived home. It was warm on the bonnet.

When my sister first moved there, Kitty wasn't at all sure about the goats but she is perfectly at home there now.

Cats are at home anywhere and with anybody except perhaps dogs. They never like dogs and vice versa.

@JudyEv Perhaps those staying in the same house as pets. So many of our cats have been killed by stray dogs. Cats can't stay indoor without a company for long.
