101 days until Spring! We were all done with the repairs we had planned on doing at the other house. We had a leak in the kitchen which was repaired; and I called the Utility Department to have the water turned back on in the house. Fortunately my husband was there when they turned the water back on. Water started pouring out of the upstairs bathroom through the ceiling on the first floor! We now have to call the plumber back (he's on vacation until the 14th) and have him fix this new leak. Then we'll have to have the drywall guy back to fix the ceiling. Needless to say, this is another delay in selling the house. Fortunately this is all the bad news I have for right this moment. How are you doing? Things not going well? Take a deep breath and look at the puppy picture above! :-) Did you hear about the 90-year old woman in the UK that received the first COVID-19 vaccination? Big news and very encouraging. Do you plan on getting the COVID-19 vaccine when it becomes available? There have been reports of allergic reactions to the vaccine; but I have never been allergic to anything; so that part doesn't bother me. My husband, however, has quite a few allergies and should be cautious about taking the new vaccine. Stay safe, happy and healthy; and I will see you every day here on MyLot. Photo Credit: Pixabay

I am so sorry for your leakage problem. I was reading two minutes ago about some cases of serious allergic reaction to the vaccine in the UK (they started to vaccinate yesterday): NO I will wait, I do not like to play the Guinea pig.

I hope that's the last of your getting-the-house-ready troubles. I don't know if I will or not. Probably not to be honest with you. I did hear about the sweet Irish lady who got the first vaccine in the UK. She celebrated with a spot of tea.

@LindaOHio I don't know if I heard about that one. It sort of sounds familiar though? That is wonderful news though!

Did you hear about the 104-year-old lady that recovered from the virus AND pneumonia? Bless her. She was released from the hospital.

You always have the most gorgeous photos on your posts. Sometimes I guess it's you just by the photo. Vaccines can be problematic for some people. It's hard to know what to do for the best.

My husband says if it's a live culture, he always gets sick. I'll have to find out about that.

Seems this year has been nothing but one problem after the other. Our car has been falling apart. We need it for so much here. and not enough money to fix it up all at once

Oh that is a lot of house repair ! We got a few done but holding on to some as we have to call in someone but we are avoiding due to Covid factor. We will not rush through for vaccine. Plus they would first be given to those in a bigger need and at a higher risk factor- starting from the medical workers.

I'm hoping that the seniors will be allowed to get the vaccine after the first responders.

1. Do you not have a way to start and stop water coming into your house? We don't have to contact utility department for that. It sounds rather complex thing. I know what hell this water leakage thing is. I have tackled two rounds of it the last 4 years, the last one just this november. i am not sure it will work. I have to wait two seasons to release a sigh of relief. I too might consider selling the house if I get reasonable swap. By the way, since I am tax crazy person, can you all swap the house, kind roll over capital gains into another property? We Indians can. :) 1 property into 2 once in lifetime, and each subsequent property into 1 each. This is fun.

@LindaOHio I understand. You all have bad climate which makes homes need repairs frequently. Coupled with that are your laws relating to repairs etc. Your property taxes are also higher.

We had to have the water department shut off the water at the street because the shut-off valves in the house needed to be replaced. I don't know about rolling over the capital gains into another house. We just want to get rid of it!

Cute puppy photo! Some expensive repairs there Yes, I will take the vaccine. By the time it's available for me, many others will have had it so I'll know for sure it's safe.

Awesome photo. I want to hug the dog Is it not dangerous to have that 90-year-old woman vaccinated? I would not want to be vaccinated with Covid 19. I am very sensitive to allergies. Stay safe, too.
