All I Want For Christmas

I don't want for much. But hey, the MegaMillions lottery drawing is tonight and I have a couple of tickets in hand. The jackpot is a cool $352 million. Let's see, if I take the lump sum, after taxes, that will put about $105.6 million in my pocket. Swell, swell indeed. That would be quite a very nice Christmas present if I say so myself. Don't worry. If I win I will share it with all of you. Well, not the money of course. But I will definitely share a post about it.

So did you win? The cash value of the lotto that I play is only up to $1.2 million before taxes. Not enough.

It all depends on what you want to do with the money

@porwest My husband buys a ticket once and a while. I just continue to play my same numbers 3x a week with the Classic Lotto. Less numbers and more of a chance to win.

Nope. But neither did anyone else. lol. The MegaMillions is now $376 million. But hey, there's still tonight's Powerball which is $341 million. Do you ever play these two?

I hope you do actually win. Even after taxes, that'd be quite a bit to live off of.

@kaylachan I am so good with money now, I can only imagine I would not be one of those they always talk about who blew it all.

I could certainly find a way to deal with all that money. Some problems aren't worth solving. This isn't one of them. lol

Were your riches big or small? I bought $20 worth of lotto scratch-offs. Won $19. Of course, in reality I didn't win and am $1 poorer. Mom just gave me some of her scratch-offs that she never cashed out. Gonna double check if they are all actually winners. And then will cash out hers and mine. She didn't tell me to give her her winnings. I am assuming they are very small if she didn't say to give her the money.

I would say that you fared much better than I. I regained nothing from my ticket. Oh well. On to the next drawing I guess. As for those tickets your mom gave you, you'd shite a brick if one was a big winner.

@porwest Her scratch-offs came out to $14 in winnings. And she didn't wanna take that money back. She told me to keep it. I wonder if she'd let me keep the winnings if they were much bigger. Probably.

@lovebuglena That was mighty nice of her. Maybe you can turn it around any get her something as a surprise. But find something for $7 so you can at least make a little profit.

Ah yes, I don't think that's much for Christmas. lol Isn't it funny when we are young we tend to want toys and games as kids, maybe music and clothes as teens and as adults we seem to want boring things. Kitchen gadgets. Pillows. The occasional knick knack. File me under boring adult

@MommyOfEli2013 The drawing was last night and it was worth $1.8 billion. Two people won it. One in Missouri and the other in Texas. There were also 20 $2 million and $1 million winners that came out of it. I did buy tickets in Missouri, so maybe I have the big winner from that? I live in Illinois and there were 2 $1 million winners here, so maybe I at least got that? Probably not. But I still have to check my tickets. Soon.

Maybe one day. It's a real big long shot. But you can't win if you don't play, as the old saying goes. So, I'll continue to risk my $2 for at least a long shot chance of winning.

How did you do? Probably not as good but there's a good second thing coming as the money from the government is on its way. Unfortunately only six hundred or person but that's better than nothing I guess. I don't watch the news so I didn't get the info from them but my bank which shows it getting to me on the forth of January.
