@DianneN The boat I was on went through the storm that was releasing bolts of lightning on Vesuvius.It almost capsized in the storm because it was badly loaded - a lorry on one side and just me on the other with a couple of old ladies and a few goats.

@DianneN You can take the funicular in Capri from the port where the ships from Naples anchor and go up to Anacapri, the second village on the island.

Yikes! I hope the guy lived.

I’ve been to Vesuvius and would return to see the new discovery they found. We had to take some crazy funicular to get to Capri. I can’t remember if we took a boat, but it was so beautiful there.

Traveling with two people would be fun. But including your son, his girlfriend, and her mother would make it ever more exciting:) I'd love to visit Scotland, Iceland, and Switzerland some day.

That’s my point. It would definitely be a blast! I have been to Scotland and Switzerland, but not Iceland. I’d love to go and return to the other countries. Have to visit Anna and JimBo.

Wow, I finally found a place you haven't been @DianneN I'm kinda surprised. I have read that it's spectacular to see but being in China I personally wouldn't want to go there, maybe fly by and try to get a shot but that's it ..... oh wait, I'm not much for being that high up, ok, forget that

Sounds like fun. As for Hawaii, now each island got their own requirements and regulations, so I don't keep up. I know, travel is when safe, but good to take peak what places want of tourist, before you go. Oahu, Hanamua Bay is a pay & only with a car. Things changed.

And I hope and look forward to traveling in 2021 As I already mentioned to you, my plan is the Carpathians (Romania) and the Alps (Switzerland) for now... although my list is not yet complete

Exactly! I've been to the Swiss Alps and they are beautiful, but as I said, just to go together anywhere will be so much fun. We all get along so well. Seeing the sites and dining together with them would great. I could lay at a pool with hubs, go for a stroll, or shop with hubs if they want to go off to so something more adventurous.

. We are all world travelers, so I'm sure many of our ideas will overlap.

I hope Al will be up to travel.

My son asked if Daddy would be up for long flights, and I told him that he never was, but he went anyway.

. It will be so good to travel again - anywhere! First place will be to New Jersey to see my older son and the family.

I was deceived climbing Mount Vesuvius, nothing interesting there, but I would surely love to visit Pompeii again and Capri, that I like a lot more than Ischia. For the moment the Campania region is "red zone" because of the high number of Covid cases, not surprising, they do not respect the rules there, be happy and enjoy life.

@DianneN I still have leather sandals that were made in a local store in Capri while I waited, they are so pretty. I have seen the photo of the restaurant they have recently discovered, I would like to see it and many other things they have found in the meantime.

I'd love to revisit Pompeii to see the fast food restaurants that have been unearthed recently. Capri was so romantic to me. I still have a red leather and black Prada purse that I bought there. I'd love to stay a week at least!

I've done quite a bit of traveling throughout the US over the past 6 months, so if travel restrictions are lifted I will be visiting friends in Birmingham, UK, and also Paris. Ultimately, I would love to go to Australia one day.

It could really be happier fi the family will travel together. There are many beautiful places in the Philippines that you can include in your list. I wish you all the happiness. Personally, I want to visit Japan when I have enough fund and it would be safe to travel.
