Shrimp & Grits for Dinner

Decided to have shrimp and grits for dinner. One of my favorite meals.
No fresh seafood close by, so had to settle for frozen shrimp.
And grits are another favorite of mine on any day. I know many do not know what grits are.

Such a good meal. And very easy to fix as well. Toasted buttered bread is also good with this dinner.

I love grits! One problem, I can't eat red sea food, I'm allergic to it:( As a kid, I loved shrimp!

Sounds like a great combo! I've remember having grits for the first time as a kid visiting my relatives in North Carolina. Not a common menu dish here, but I do buy Quaker's grits at our supermarket. Great breakfast. Another item I enjoyed down south was hush puppies

I love shrimp and shrimp and grits are delicious. I made it once,,and even though I screwed up the recipe it was still delicious!

Shrimp and grits is also a favorite meal of mine! And luckily, living in Florida, we almost always have fresh shrimp at our disposal. Hope you enjoyed your meal.

@CarolDM You are welcome! It's beautiful, I like it a lot, it's actually interesting to me because they have those letters, we don't have it here because it's typical only for the USA
