An eerie coincidence

We went to a concert last Saturday. It was very low-key held in a little decommissioned church in the middle of farming land. The church is hired out for weddings and concerts and, in this case, the sister of the owner organised a four-piece group to entertain us. She met the singer, a nurse, while she was in hospital after a horse-riding accident. Once the gig had been arranged, the singer was telling her aunt about a gig she had coming up and how it would be held in an old church. The aunt produced a painting of the church that her girl’s mother had done many years before. How is that for a coincidence? The painting sat on a chair in the hall during the performance. It’s no oil-painting. Well, it is but I don’t particularly like it which is probably a bit harsh as I could never do half as good a job - but fancy it turning up like that.

It's an okay painting and a very interesting coincidence. I do hope the music was good, though.

This surely is an eerie coincidence. To be honest I also dislike the painting, wrong perspective and the church "bends".

that is pretty wild! i would like the picture better if it were set at the same angle as the photograph. Straight on makes the church seem oddly proportioned.
