Have you filed your taxes yet?

We filed our taxes about 2 weeks before the IRS actually was accepting them. As soon as the IRS accepted it, we got our Federal refund in the bank in just a few days. Still waiting on my state taxes though. Those were accepted last week. Are you expecting a refund?

I usually do the same as you, but this year I had to wait until mid-February for some of the forms I needed to file. It took about a week and a half from acceptance to approval, and the direct deposit should be hitting my account tomorrow which is four days after the status updated. I owe a bit on state taxes this year but I might just go make a tax credit donation to my kids' school and amend that return so I get a refund there as well. We have until April 15th to contribute for the previous tax year.

We owed on state last year. I had to mail in to another state also for the refund since we live in one and my husband works in another.

@stephcjh A lot of people here make fun of me for giving 'Uncle Sam' my money interest free for a year but I don't care. It's worth it to me to know I won't owe money at tax time.

I sure did. We have some complications in our taxes so we take them to a tax preparer. We had the job done about a week ago and we already have our money in our bank- not a lot but some, anyway.

For me, not yet. I will likely turn all of my documents over to my accountant next week. As for whether or not I get anything back, we'll see.

I am employed and my tax is being deducted from my salary every month. As of now I have a business but I only registered it to cover a small village so I am not obliged to get a business permit except a village permit which I have to pay annually.

We do not file taxes until April 30th, our system is different we do not pay first and then get a refund, we pay after they check our files.

I never get a refund, I always owe. I have until the end of April (Canada) to get their money to them.

@stephcjh I prefer to keep money aside to pay taxes. I earn a tiny bit of interest

@stephcjh I did have to go online and fill out something right before the first stimulus was released. But, that wasn't "filing taxes." It's been so nice to not have to stress out about getting taxes done each year.
