Decided on cheese grits for dinner. Toast as well. Maybe a fried egg. I will decide at the last minute.
They have always been a breakfast favorite all of my life. And often for dinner.
You can eat them with butter, cheese, gravy, eggs, bacon, sausage, whatever you like.
I know many of you don't know what grits are. Here is a short video, about one minute that tells you about grits.

We love grits, but have never eaten them with cheese. Jay chopped his eggs on top, then adds pepper. I had never eaten grits, until I married Jay in 1990! lol

I love grits, but I never make them at home. Sure do enjoy them whenever we go out for breakfast. But we don't do that often and even less since covid.

@CarolDM roll them in grits (uncooked) add a little garlic powder and pop them into the air fryer. Then add the frozen fried shrimp to the grits.
Yum!!!! I figure i owe you for the frying pan cornbread!

I think I had grits once in my life and I wasn't really fond of them. They do sound versatile
Breakfast for dinner works for me

I ate grits when I was in Florida. I like anything "corny".
