Cheese Grits for Dinner

Decided on cheese grits for dinner. Toast as well. Maybe a fried egg. I will decide at the last minute. They have always been a breakfast favorite all of my life. And often for dinner. You can eat them with butter, cheese, gravy, eggs, bacon, sausage, whatever you like. I know many of you don't know what grits are. Here is a short video, about one minute that tells you about grits.

We love grits, but have never eaten them with cheese. Jay chopped his eggs on top, then adds pepper. I had never eaten grits, until I married Jay in 1990! lol

I love grits, but I never make them at home. Sure do enjoy them whenever we go out for breakfast. But we don't do that often and even less since covid.

@CarolDM roll them in grits (uncooked) add a little garlic powder and pop them into the air fryer. Then add the frozen fried shrimp to the grits. Yum!!!! I figure i owe you for the frying pan cornbread!

They have to be cooked just right for me. The consistency has to be not too thick and definitely not too thin.

Grits are something I hadn't had until I moved to North Carolina. And I love them. Mike loves shrimp and grits. I like them that way but prefer them more with breakfast foods.
