Our internet has been playing up - and we've sold our house

We attended the Fairbridge Music Festival over the weekend but came home a day early as the weather became really bad because of two cyclones up north. Our friends were parked next to us and we tied the annexes together to make a little room for another friend. But the canvas flapped and snapped so much we thought we were going to lose the annexes on the caravans.
So in the morning we packed up the annexes before going off to listen to the music, then spent the next night half-an-hour away at our friend’s place. Next morning we drove back to the venue in heavy rain and decided to hitch up the caravan and go home before it got any worse.
When we got home, we had a lot of trouble getting the internet to work which is why I’ve been absent so long. I’ve probably missed some notifications too.
In other news, today we signed papers selling our house. It is an unconditional cash offer which makes our next step much less complicated. Settlement will be on May 28th which is roughly six weeks away so we have lots to do before then.
The photo is from a previous Fairbridge Festival.

Congratulations on selling your property. I hope everything goes through without any problems.
I wasn't here the last few days, either. My eyes swelled closed. It's been so much fun just listening to YouTube and my phone reading to me. *sigh* I'm lying. I hate not being able to see.

@JudyEv Yes, some kind of allergy. We just aren't sure what I got into this time. Pollen or dust in the air.

Wow. That was really fast. I take it you were happy with the offer? What will you do from the end May until you can move into your new place in August?

@JudyEv That is awesome..Will all your stuff from the old place fit into the new one? I image the new is quite a bit smaller.

@snowy22315 There are two bedrooms and a study so we're one bedroom down, no bar area and the lounge, kitchen, dining are all smaller. So it's a good chance to purge stuff which we're doing at the moment.

I am happy to hear that you were able to sell your house. Congratulations We don't plan on selling our house yet, but it has become easier to sell houses here than it was in the past.

@JudyEv The same thing has happened here. My brother and his wife want to build their own house, but they have to wait a long time. There is a long waiting list.

I am so sorry you encountered such a bad weather, it was a good decision to go back home.
I am glad for the quick deal on your home. I know it's hard, now you will be very busy during those 6 weeks. Do you already bought the place where you are going to move?

Wow that's great that your house sold so fast. Good thing you started making some headway in getting rid of things. Do you have any idea where you're moving to or are you going to be house hunting?
Too bad that the weather interfered with your festival but it was probably smart to pack up and leave early.

@JudyEv sounds like you're going somewhere with a lot of activity (which I think you both like). There really seems to be a lot of perks in that over 55 community. I think you'll enjoy the smaller place. Wishing you and Vince many years of happiness there.

@Marilynda1225 Thanks very much. We've always said we didn't want to live in the city but I guess this is outer city and as we get older we need to be close to medical facilities, etc.

We're moving to an over 55s lifestyle gated village which has a nice community centre - swimming pool, gym, theatre, pool table, library, community barbecues, etc. We'll still be doing our photos so we're hopeful we won't miss this place too much. It will still be a wrench.
