So sorry everyone. Lots going on and thanks, @myklj999 for noticing my absence. A dear friend of mine, Gill, passed away from COPD and lung cancer last week. Yes, she was a former smoker. Her husband was the orthodontist for my kids and both my sons are still friends with Gill’s 2 daughters. In fact, one married my older son’s good friend. Hubs and I were also away visiting a sister-in-law in the Catskill Mountains of New York. And we took our first airline flight in over one year to Chicago. We met our older son and grandson there to see him play goalie with some of the top teams in the USA.

. We had dinner at Lou Malnati’s on Thursday night of course! Flying home this minute and using the jet’s WiFi. Not the greatest.

Just wanted to let you know I haven’t deserted you. It’s been a long week and weekend. ~Photo is mine of Lou Malnati’s deep dish Chicago pizzas~

I'm so sorry about your friend, my condolences to all who loved her. I knew you'd be back but I was beginning to wonder how much longer you'd be gone. Boy does that pizza look good.

Thank you! I’m still not home, and typing in the air is no fun. I could use some of that pizza now, but won’t take my mask off for anything.

You'll be home soon. Just don't think of food unless they serve something on the airline. I wouldn't take mine off either but there are ways to eat without fully removing the mask.

No, but I have proof of my vaccinations in my wallet and in my phone. They only took our temperature and asked questions about the virus. I’m traveling within my country.

I am very sorry for your friend. I noticed your absence, but I thought you were enjoying your time with your older son or vacationing with your younger, I did not imagine that it was for a sad event.

Thank you. After she passed away, I had a heavy heart and still do for all she will miss out of life now. Fortunately, being with our sister-in-law and then in Chicago with our son and grandson lifted our spirits.

@DianneN This is terrible, Dianne. I'm so sorry you have to go through this loss! The lady I'm praying for is Gill also, she suffers from COPD but she maybe lives in England.
