It's too hot to go outside

@rebelann It's gotten that hot here too. But usually it doesn't happen til later . . . this year it's happening in June already. There hasn't been much June gloom this month - I am bummed - because that at least helps keep it pleasant for half the day anyway. I'm scared for what late summer will bring us. Nope - no rain in sight . Wow, Roscoe's got the whole potty thing down! Or darn, no swimming right now. Well for us either . . . we are not into going to public pools or anyone's house to use their pool . My parents still have a swamp cooler thingie in their house . . . keeps that one room cool but not the rest of the house. I guess there aren't any major fires at the moment. Hope there won't be . . . but we know how that goes .

Yes, all too well. I'm still learning Roscoes signals and so far I'm not doing as well as I hoped, I just found a pile of poop he left me by the front door, at least he tried to go outside but I'm not reading him as well as I would like, I guess that'll take time.

I heard that it's supposed to get into the 110s and above pretty soon, I remember one year when we got as high as 116f, not as bad as what AZ gets but not cool either. So no rain in sight for you yet? I'll step up those rain dances. Roscoe goes out long enough to pee and wants right back in when he's done, he's a smart cookie. No tub time, the water is too warm for him. It's very warm in here too but not as bad as outdoors, swamp coolers don't do much to cool down the interior of a mobile home. Are those fires under control out there?

You also have higher humidity than we do which makes the heat even worse.

@rebelann Savannah, Georgia was horribly high humidity. That beat my rump pretty badly.

I couldn't breath in their humid weather.

@rebelann And, to think we haven't hit pique season.

June is usually our hottest month. It should cool down to the upper 90s pretty soon.

I only went out to get the mail this afternoon and boy am I glad we don't get the humidity you do.

Thank you. I always think of spring and summer where you are as having temperatures around 25c but not around 35c or higher.

@rebelann We will be under a heatwave from today until Monday, we should reach 30 C, but only for 2 days.

Thank you. I don't envy your weather, at least here it's dry which is easier to breath in if I went out in the heat.

It's really hot out right now so I'll wait until later to go outside again. I wish it would rain here also but I doubt we will get any.

I've read that those long coats some kritters have will actually insulate them from heat as well as cold. I'll bet the kind of 90f you have includes a lot of humidity, that's a lot worse than the dry heat we get.

I do go out once in a while but I never stay out in the heat for very long.

I hope you'll get the rain you need but not so much that it floods your area

I don't know about the rest of TX but here in El Paso it's hot and dry. It's 105f now with 5% humidity.

I simply stay indoors and when I'm out I turn on the water and get the tree leaves wet, it helps cool things down ..... it was 101f in the shade this afternoon.

Glad you liked that song. Yeah, it really is. Right now poor Roscoe is panting like crazy yet he's been inside most of the afternoon. Swamp coolers only cool it off a little in here but it's still kinda warm. It's 105f with 5% right now.
